Howdy! Just wondering how much people are paying for their On site resort/hotel stays. If you could post how much you paid per night or total, where, when and if you got any discounts/specials! Planning to book for early in 2016 just trying to get estimate of hotel costs.
THANKS!!

$1700 for 5 nights at Yacht Club in October. $1900 for a studio at VWL for 8 nights in January. $1650 for a studio at BWV for 7 nights in May.

FWIW, I don't think its a personal question. I don't honestly think it's overly personal to ask salary either, though. Who cares? We Americans are too private sometimes. It's not like I had to give Mickey an ounce of coke for those prices.

Really? I guess that's the one question that I think is personal. Anything else is mostly found by looking online, public record or wherever.

Yes
The most I've paid for accommodations on property was for six nights in the Sugarloaf Concierge at GF during Thanksgiving. Including a discount it ran a little over $5,200.00

We rented the DVC points through David's Vacation Club Rentals, we got a studio for $218 a night at the Bay Lake Towers.

If we had gone through Disney it would have been over $500 per night.

However with David's Vacation Club you should book 11 months out.

I paid about $6500 for 8 nights in a Lion King Family suite at AoA for 6 people - 4 adults, 1 16 yr old and 1 6 yr old, 7 day park hopper w/water park and more, travel insurance, (I kind of regret that part but I'm a spaz and worry wart), and we got free dining but I upgraded to the regular plan so we get the table service meal per day too. Did I get ripped off lol? I don't even care if I did at this point - I am just so excited to go! I have heard a few of my friends say that Disney sends you offers a little bit before you arrive asking if you want to upgrade to a better resort for a discounted price? have any of you heard of that before?

This reminds me of one trip where the father at the table next to us at Chef Mickey's kept asking Mickey to come back to the hotel to smoke some weed. Like seriously...I am sure he was drunk or high himself. He may have even been half kidding but it was so awkward and Mickey just kept covering his ears and shaking his head "no". Like, dude...go home you're a mess.

The things those poor characters have to deal with. I felt terrible at Garden Grill as my toddlers mauled Mickey but at least they are 2 so the behavior isn't unexpected.

I paid $758 tax included for 10 nights at AS Sports. I got the late summer promotion plus a discount code for Orbitz. Thought that was a good deal.

Disney World is a complicated place.

The more strategery you put in, the more you will get out (better deals, Free Dining, Vacation Packages, Discount Codes, FP+, ADRs, etc.).

Deals are out there, you just have to put in the work to find them.
