That might be my first tattoo.
Ah,yes! Indeed they do!Ah! Many of the attraction posters in the entry tunnels to the MK still have the old WDW font and logo on them...you know because the Tomorrowland poster has been there since 1994. :lookaroun
Please excuse my ignorance, but what are these "survey markers", where are they located, and are they viewable by the general park visitors? Just curious, as I have never heard of them before.

That's odd. Hopefully they would realize they forgot that and repaint it back. Hopefully. :lookarounThey're not being phased out so much as they've just forgotten to put them back on a couple of the trains they've painted recently. Not intentional.
It should be noted that manhole covers are being slowly replaced with ones that have 'RCID' instead.
I would gladly buy the TL poster.Ooh, good point! Love those.I want several...
Great website!a list of them: http://www.waymarking.com/cat/details.aspx?f=1&guid=ff71a485-d188-4310-b330-6851d8fee215
They're all over but they're very small and easy to overlook.

And what does RCID stand for? I find it pointless to replace the manhole covers...

Reedy Creek Improvement District.![]()
Ah, thanks. :wave:RCID=Reedy Creek Improvement District, the quasi-government area set up by Disney that covers all of Bay Lake and Lake Buena Vista (including all of WDW)

As on public land, developers of private property need to survey it to ensure that roads, buildings, and other structures are properly sited. Sometimes, surveyors use temporary survey marks. Other times, they install (“monument”) metal disks or other markers that are designed to mark a precise location for decades or even centuries to come. Here's a page with a list of them: http://www.waymarking.com/cat/details.aspx?f=1&guid=ff71a485-d188-4310-b330-6851d8fee215

I'd love to see them around MK, much like we saw with the 50th logo in DL.Yes, the original logo was THE best. I am sure we will be seeing MORE of it soon..as we get closer to the big 40th Anniversary .....
Nice avatar by the way....

Many thanks guys for bringing up the topic of the 'Survey Markers'. For years i have come across them and have been meaning to ask about them here. Thanks for the link..now i know...
..'and knowing is half the battle....'

ME too...and every other serious Park Fan.....but i think we will be seeing it turn up on a lot of additonal 'retro' merch and printed matter. I seriously doubt TDC would go back to using it as the 'official' logo again, but i will admit i would enjoy it. Joe Average however would probably not like it, you know, without that 'Disney' text ( brand logo...).
Someone earlier here mentioned it would be interesting to see the original 'D' logo 'updated' and re-imagined. I agree- this would be worth a try, and make for a nice throwback to the past, but also creating something new.
Anyone here want to give it a try? Go for it people....create a NEW LOGO based on the original!
