Than I can come back to MI and ski...than go back to Celebration...in the mean-time, if they build housing closer to the front gates I'll change my choice... :)
You know, that's funny! I have always promised myself that if I ever win the lottery big time, I will buy a private jet and stay at a different WDW resort every weekend, heck, I'd probably just go ahead and live there! I can't imagine a better way to spend money!

I think it's just in some people's blood. Back in 1969, my Mother had my Dad see if he could get a summer job at DL so she could take my brother and I there for free every day, lol. (parents were school-teachers with the summer off, we traveled a lot as kids)

Than when WDW opened she tried to get the two of them teaching jobs in FL so we could be near WDW. (but that fell through) So now, whenever I am getting *the bug* (as my wife calls it) I call my Mom first, and than next thing you know we have a large-scale trip planned and now she takes her grandkids on all the rides she used to ride with me.

My wife just looks at me and laughs...she says that she can tell how far away we are by the size of my smile...and once we get there I have a *perma-grin* until we drive away.

I personally believe that it should be a national law that everyone on their 4th/5th birthday should be sent to WDW or DL for a week. It'd be a happier world to live in.

My first trip was May of 2001.
My second trip was February of 2002.
2003 has been the jackpot year though, as I spent a week at WDW in March with the family celebrating my parent's 35th anniversary, spent 5 days at WDW for Gay Days and met my fantastic BF, and on Sunday I'll meet him in Orlando for another 7 days! Woo hoo! So that's 5 trips in 3 years. (Not counting the two days we'll spend at Disneyland when I visit the BF in L.A. for Thanksgiving . . .)

Exactly! My BF doesn't understand how I agree to spend hundreds of dollars to go on a trip with *gasp* my parents to *even bigger gasp* WDW!

I was looking at all this too and thinking wow. I have spent over a year of my life in DisneyWorld. I was watching the Travel channel last night and it was all about DisneyLand. I have never had the thought to go there. I am thinking we may have to make one trip out there with my boys before they leave my nest. They seem to have some different things that might be worth checking out. I dunno though, I love DisneyWorld. If I win the lottery, I'll get a big enough house there for anyone who wants to come and visit. Should I buy my own Disney bus and driver too? LOL

Oh yeah!!!!! I leave for there tomorrow. Can't wait.

I've made two trips to DL in the last year. The first one last Christmas was with my wife, three boys and my parents and we went five days to the park. It was perfect since we were still on EST we were there right as the gates opened, wide-awake and ready to go. By the time the park started getting crowded we slipped out, walked across the pavilion and went into DCA for a couple of hours.

The second trip was a business trip and my partner had never been so we went after a meeting for about 5-6 hours.

The last trip to DL before that was probably 1972? It's interesting to compare the two parks, but if I had to choose just one WDW resort would win every time (though I wish they'd port the facade for IaSM over to WDW and some more of the FantasyLand rides).

Maybe we should start a *stuck in MI, wish I were at WDW* thread. I can't wait to haul the pack down there in less than two months. It'll be my step-daughter's 2nd trip, her husband's and two grandkids first trip, about 17 altogether in the group...anyone else want to stow-away in my trailer?
