How Many Times Do YOU Change Your Mind ??

I will change my mind on resort and or dining reservations countless times in the course of my year long planning time. Changing from delux resorts and counter dining to moderate resorts with more expensive dining options. Seeing what the AP might offer in resort discounts if choose to get or not getting AP and going with the discounts offered with free dining etc. I go back and forth, compiling a planning calender and changing things almost daily. Hmmm lets try this...what if we go here and use this etc... BUTS is all Disney Fun......The Planning is half the excitement of the trip.

I am always rethinking everything. And discounts play HUGE role in that!! So you are not alone. And I agree planning is half the fun. We have dinner lots of night where the main topic is where to make our ADR's Everyone gets a ADR of choice and I try my best to work them in. We try to theme each trip...one year the theme was ALL NEW ADR's not repeats!! That was a fun trip!! Last year was a Land/Sea theme. Next trip is NO HEAT and Christmas decorations!!!! (past 3 years we have gone in August..so there is where the NO HEAT comes in....)

I probably plan on average about 5 trips per year. I usually go on 1. :ROFLOL:
The dining is my big thing. I make so many different ADR lists/counter service lists/snack lists...and try to plan out each day what I'd be eating. I will look at multiple resort costs and change my mind a bajillion times.

But food - probably my biggest plan. I'll make like 3453 different plans of food. And enough food for like a week of time even if I'm only there for a few days. I wish I could eat that much.

I really don't change my mind too much. Because I am DVC I pretty know where I want to stay each time. As far as food goes the only thing I might change are the days in which we want to eat at.

Never. I prefer to stay at the Values because they are inexpensive and it allows me to visit more frequently during the years (I went five time last year alone!). To me, they are basically all the same, so I just get whatever is available, though I prefer All Stars Music. I have, lately, been going back and forth about getting the dining plan. I usually end up not getting it and then regretting that decision once I'm there. I'll never learn! :)

For our first two stays on property, we booked Port Orleans Riverside and kept that booking the whole time.

For our 2010 trip, my initial pick was CBR, but all they had available were Pirate Rooms when we booked a year in advance. After thinking about it for a day, we decided we did not want a Pirate Room, so I switched it to Coronado Springs, thinking I could keep checking back throughout the year to see if any regular rooms opened up at CBR. But then I got settled into the thought of staying at Coronado, and never tried to change it, and that's where we ended up staying.

While on our 2010 stay at CSR, I booked a bounceback offer for 2011 for Wilderness Lodge, under erroneous info given by the CM on the phone that I could hold the bounceback code until 2011 rates come out. When I found out this was false, I changed it to Carribbean Beach and then changed it back to WL when some discounts came out for 2011.

For our upcoming trip this April, I initially booked a split stay between the Poly and Beach Club for 5 nights each. But my son kept saying he wants to go back to Coronado Springs sometime and I got to thinking that if I downgraded to a moderate, it would save a little over 3 grand, and that's not money that we need to be spending just on a hotel room, especially with getting our bathroom remodled that year, etc. So I downgraded to Coronado Springs, but part of me kept thinking I would really like to try CBR, since I had been booked there for the past two trips but changed it, so I asked my son what he thought about a Pirate Room at CBR and showed him some pictures and he decided he liked that idea. So as of right now, with less than 90 days until we leave, we are booked for Carribbean Beach Resort, in a Pirate room.
