You bet I played on that playground...

In 1992 I played on that playground over 4 hours while my oldest sister was across the street being hired to work for Disney!

I always loved people watching from the lookout tower.:)

Disney Village playground? Played on it!

Toys Fantastique? Shopped there!

They had this really cool scrapbooking, stationery kind of store that was where the Lego store is now, and as a big sticker collector, I always racked up on some new puffies and scratch-and-sniffies there. The name of the shop totally escapes me right now. It was so much bigger and better than 3 R's was.

And OMG...Boardwalk and Baseball? TOTALLY went there and loved every minute of it! White satin jacket with the embroidered B&B logo? I rocked it. For years. Other random baseball merch because baseball was/still is my Dad's passion??? Have it and still love it!

Man o man...y'all really took me back! I love looking back like this.

YOU BET I DID!

That playground had it all! And then there were those bright-colored fountains to play in! Anyone remember the HUGE (or it seemed like it to a little kid) playground Mickey's Starland had? It was where the Barnstormer is now. Ahhh, good times indeed.

DW and I spent many pleasant hours munching goodies from the Lite Bite/Lakeside Terrace, while DD disappeared into what we called "the Dead End":

How many of the oldsters out there remember doing what this Dad is doing?

The character breakfast in the Steermans Quarters aboard the Empress Lilly. Note the long gone paddlewheel just visable to the extreme right of the window.

I remember that playground... I also remember the Rio Grande train ride (still there!) being my first-ever Disney attraction back in 1994. :D

Just wondering, all the info I have on the now Lego Building is this:

These two were counter service on the Lilly side:
•Donald’s Dairy Dip
Village Ice Cream Parlor & Bake Shop 1975? - 1990
Donald’s Dairy Dip 1990 - 7/97
•Plutos Doghouse
Minnie Mias Pizzeria 1987 - 1990
Plutos Doghouse 1994

The main part of the building:
•Christmas Chalet
Verandah Resturant 1975? - 1985
ArtEspana 1986 - 1988
EuroSpain 1988 - 1994
Christmas Chalet 1994 - 7/97
•LEGO Imagination Center 11/97 - (Building Expanded)

Perhaps you are remembering something that was in the Pottery Chalet?
Any info appreciated.:)

By 3R's do you actually mean 2R’s Read’n & Rite’n

2R's had two incarnations:

•Basin
2R’s Read’n & Rite’n 1975 - 88

Where was that playground located?

If you are asking about the sandbox, it was on the Marina side of the Captains Tower/Pin Traders.

Which logo do you prefer?
