A comment in another thread got me wondering about this..

No bickering here please, no right or wrong answer, I'm just generally curious to see the results.

It depends. We schedule at least 2 per trip with our hoppers but tend to let our mood take us to whatever park we feel like at that point in time. So we either end up in EP or MK at night every night of our trip--it varies.

It all depends on the length of stay. We try to spend a night or 2 each at Epcot and HS and the rest of the nights are at MK. Over a 7 day trip it night be 3 or 4 nights, over a 10 day trip it may be 5 or 7 nights. On the 10 day trip we may spend an evening at DS. And there are nights that we will close Epcot and then head back to MK for EMH's. I would say, on average, half of our time is at MK.

We usually take 3 8 day trips per year and it's really rare that we go a single day without spending at least a little time in the MK. Being at BLT all the time just makes it so easy to go there and especially in the evenings when the crowds start to thin out. So mine is definitely 6 or more. Honestly, the MK is what I think of when I think of "Disneyworld". It just "is" Disneyworld to me. The MK alone is the sole reason for us to be in the DVC. It's just the place I can never get enough of. I love all of Disneyworld but the MK is the apex of it all for me. By far. It always has been but my little boy actually likes AK the most. My wife jokes that it kills me that MK is not his favorite but really it doesn't. I never judge anybody for their favorite parts of Disneyworld because it's all great and unique in its own way. There's truly something for everybody and I could see a person being justified in saying any of the 4 parks were their favorite. I'm just naturally a kid at heart and the MK speaks greatly to that for me. I could see a person who likes science and culture loving EPCOT the most. I could see a person that loves nature loving AK the most. I could see a movie fan liking HS the most. We definitely spend the least amount of time at EPCOT.

For us, a lot depends on the length of the trip. We are doing 8 days in April and have 3 days planned at MK (only 2 will be there during the night time, 1 is day time).

Two days, normally. Our last trip, we went back for a third day(well, night), because we had gone to either HS or AK, so of course you can't do just that in one day.

We spend 2 days at the Magic Kingdom so that we can pre-book 6 Fast Passes. (3 each day)
We arrive early in the morning and take an afternoon break to avoid the Heat and Crowds.
We return to the park in the evening after having dinner at a resort restaurant.

Two - there is just too much to do in one day/night. But I don't want to get bored either.

Two gives you the chance to do everything once, and maybe visit the favorites like PoTC and MH twice.

Based on our typical length of stay we'd be at the MK two nights. It will be three this trip since we are attending MVMCP on our arrival day.

We normally do 8 days 7 nights. Sometimes at a timeshare sometimes all onsite. Recently we haven't been going to universal for a day or 2 each trip bc quite frankly universal isn't the best for babies and toddlers. Wishes we love to see twice each trip we normally do 2 MK days anyway. With these new nighttime shows at HS and AK it makes staying full days at those parks more intriguing. So if still say do atleast 2 nights if not 3.

We always plan on spending the first and last days in MK, then plan in days to go back throughout the trip. We always have PH passes so if another park is extremely crowded we might hit up MK unplanned. Looking back on my last visit to WDW we were in MK 6 times during a 14 day trip.

It depends on time of year, dining plans and EMH. For example, on my trip in Feb during President's week, our flight landed at 5pm, so MK was really the only option for a 7pm arrival at a park (that night the MK closed at midnight). Also, if crowds are light, AK and DHS can be completely taken care of in less than a day. For the last trip, over 6 days/5 nights, we were at the MK 3x, and Epcot, DHS and AK once.

This is blasphemy for sure, but as park hoppers who only go for 2 1\2 or 3 1\2 days at a time during Flower and Garden and/or during Food and Wine, so we don't really go to MK at night anymore.

Without kids, it's nice to leisurely graze at the kiosks, see the new exbibits, ride some rides and stay for Illuminations or boat over for Star Wars or Fantasmic. Really looking forward to Animal Kingdom evening events.

Yeah I'll say my night time stays at MK are limited.....Night-wise in a trip its usually only once too see the fireworks and ride Splash at night, the drop with the view of the Castle is a key moment for me....(Although my upcoming trip 10/23 to 10/29....I'll bet with the late extra magic hours Wednesday that'll increase to 2 nights)

I'll say if Main street still had the theater and the arcade I'd probably be more prone to visit it at night + I find Illuminations and Fantasmic superior to Wishes so I may spend a big chunk of a day in MK but at night I'll jump over to either park

Yes
I always head over to MK after all the other parks have closed, and of course I spend the night when I've been there all day
