I hope I may be starting something new and interesting..I may not.

How many hours of sleep do you average while vacationing at Disney World?

We are three nights in and I believe we (me and my wife) are averaged 5 hours per night.

Just wondering where anyone else lies.

EDIT: for our 8 night trip we averaged 6 hours per night.

It depends on how late the parks are open, if they are open until 12-1am then me and my brother will stay as long as we can, and we usually wake up at around 9-10am.

if we leave the parks early, I can be asleep by 9-9:30 & up around 6ish. even if we're back late around 11 we can still getup early. we're on "vacation mode." usually sleep good. walking around all day knocks u out.

I was up by 6 am everyday for almost 2 week. Depending on how late the parks were open between 4-6 hours sleep. My DD fell asleep more quickly than me and slept a half hour later so she was coming in closer to 5-7

I had one silly stupid, tired day. I was OK as long as I was moving around but in CoP, Presidents and Tiki I kept drifting. I never nap, I never drift so I knew I was pushing sleep deprivation a bit to far.

DH and I are two weeks away from our trip (eek!), so I can't answer this for sure, but based on our plans I can say that, if our plans are anything close to what will end up happening, we will get 6-7 hours of sleep most nights. I may have to come back and report my actual findings; it'll be interesting to see how our expected sleep correlates with our actual sleep :)

It depends. I try to get about 8 hours of sleep per night on vacation, though sometimes I sleep less, sometimes I sleep more (I've been known to sleep 10 hours). I try to get no less than 7 hours of sleep per night. I don't do well on a lack of sleep.

I guess there are a lot of power naps going on in busses too. I see three people right now. That could add an hour to the nightly total. We'll bump my wife to 6 hour average and me 5, for now. I could never sleep on the bus.

Depends on how late we stay out and when the parks close. I like to wake up early when I am in disney. I am a morning person, I get up for work at 4am every day so my mental clock wakes me up early even when I am there. I would say around 6-7 hours. I like to be up at 6am and ready and out the door by 7am before the food court crowds.

I will say, I get the BEST sleep in WDW! Doing all of that walking all day long... especially the first day with traveling and all, I sleep like a baby. Out like a light!

one, maybe two nights are 5-hours but then at least one night we end up with like 9 when our batteries are low. I would say the average is around 7 though.

Usually on the night before the first day I get an average of 3-5 hours of sleep..

I CAN'T HELP IT, I'M ALWAYS SO EXCITED!!

But after the first day, I'm too pooped out to be excited, so I sleep about 7-10 hours.

I usually set my alarm for 7.A.M. Bedtime would depend on how late the parks are open. I normally get to sleep between midnight to 1 A.M. So six to seven hours of sleep for me.
