How many HOURS for you? (Sleep!)

If I actually stay there and not drive home, it would typically be probably 6 hours. I'm still able to go to bed at midnight and be fine (most days, lol) waking up around 5 or 6. Usually 6.

It depends. I'll wake up at 7am on days we hit the parks at opening. 8:30-9am on days we are not.

If we leave the parks at 10ish and do nothing but hang in the room the rest of the night, probably I'll doze off around 12 and 1am. If we stay in the parks late or go to Boardwalk, DTD, etc. for drinks I'll probably be in bed somewhere between 1am and 2:30am.

So somewhere between 5 and 8 hours of sleep.

I guess there are a lot of power naps going on in busses too. I see three people right now. That could add an hour to the nightly total. We'll bump my wife to 6 hour average and me 5, for now. I could never sleep on the bus.
Everyone will be asleep on the buses Saturday morning of the 24th if they stayed all night at the MK. We did last year and we will this year. I am just so glad Starbucks is available and hopefully all night long!
But to answer your question, I get as little as 3 hours some nights and sleep in on "rest days" we build into our vacation schedule. You have to schedule rest time otherwise the parks will eat you alive. Granted I do not have small kids.

For me, probably about 4-5 hours. We are an open til close family so we don't get back to the room until after midnight, except for AK nights. So it's roughly 1 am or so by the time we hit the sack. I have the wake-up call set for about 6am so I can make sure that everyone is up and ready so we can make our breakfast ADRs or rope drop if we don't have early ADRs that day.

This will change a bit this year as we will be upgrading to APs, so on the early close night of AK and DHS we will be hopping to other parks. Seriously....who needs sleep on vacation??

We sleep a lot. Or, at least in trips past we've slept a lot. Usually, we sleep at least 8-9 hours a night, plus the kids take a 2 hour nap most days (and DH and I may have also napped here or there ;)). The heat, walking, emotional roller coaster, and excess food all combine to make us one tired family. Yes, there's a lot to do, but we figure we go every year, so there's no reason to not get enough rest. I don't want to have to take a vacation from my vacation :) This year might be different. We'll see if the kids need to nap every day or not. We'll just play it by ear

I hope I may be starting something new and interesting..I may not.

How many hours of sleep do you average while vacationing at Disney World?

We are three nights in and I believe we (me and my wife) are averaged 5 hours per night.

Just wondering where anyone else lies.
About the same. We go to MK real long at night. Man, you can get more done there from 10PM-1AM than you can get from 10Am to 5PM.

For me it depends on what time I go to bed, as I will wake up by 7am EST every day while we are there, because my body is just used to getting up at 6am CST, so I don't get additional sleep.

I average about 5 hours. I am like tinkgirl in that I am an early riser in general, and so at Disney I am up no later than 6. I love to get up, stroll through my resorts lobby while it is empty, grab a coffee, and just enjoy the quiet. Then we get to the parks about an hour before rope drop and let the anticipation build. Yes, I know I have a problem.

I wish I was like you! I enjoy sleeping in a bit too much for all that.

About 4 to 5 hours, we usually stay at MK till it closes and since we always go Thanksgiving week it usually closes late and by the time we all have showers not much time left to sleep since we always either have a breakfast or make rope drop.

Probably between 6 and 7 hours. Those late MK nights knock us out, and we're on vacation, so I have no problem sleeping a little later on those morning afters...

Honestly, I always get at least 7-8 hours at Disney World. We rarely stay in the parks past 10pm and we often sleep in and get to the parks around 10 or 11. I've never felt the need to go commando at WDW.

5 to 7 for me. That is also how much I sleep at home. I hit rope drop every day and stay out until the last park closes. I am a high energy person.

As much as we can get! My GF and I are not big morning people and we are on vacation to relax, not to end up more exhausted than we were before the vacation. Since we live in Florida and have been to the parks many times we don't feel the need to cram every single attraction into our visits. Plus we have Epcot After 4pm passes so there is no rush to make rope drop. So we probably end up getting 9-10 hours of sleep per night.
