That the disneyland paris gets rehabs done in about 2 weeks (and I am talking about the big attractions) and the florida resort needs 3 long months for BTMR????

Anyone know why?

From what I gather they are adding Air Con to BTMR at WDW, this may be a factor. WDW is older, and may need more of a rehab? DLP might not care as much, sounds harsh but when I was last there, it seemed that a lot of work was needed on some parts of the park.

So they are adding Air Conditioning to BTMR at WDW? I am confused  I am guessing that means they are enclosing the cue area and adding A/C?

Well they can still add AC without adding an indoor que. Honestly, as wierd as it seems, many places have outdoor AC. They just make it blow into an area really hard so that it feels more comfortable.

I don't know how long it will take them to add the AC. If it only takes them a month, then I'm sure there are other plans for the que, possibly placing it indoors, with more theming (which I'd like), but, honestly, depending on how they're doing it, it could take them the full time just to put the AC there.

Im thinking and hoping however for an indoor and newly themed que.

Many times I avoid this ride simply for the absolutely miserable que you have to wait in.

All I have to say is that I certainly hope that they have BTMRR up and running again earlier than expected. I am arriving the last week that it will be down and am leaving the day it is supposed to open.

I'm not sure exactly what you're asking, but Freon is not used up in an AC unit. That part of it is a closed system, if it leaks out then the unit no longer cools the air. On the other hand, just for comparison, my house AC needed a Freon charge (after a lightning strike on July 4) which required 6 pounds (at $12/pound) of Freon. So for all the buildings on Disney property the answer is ALOT!!!

As for the topic of the thread, I believe the plans also include repainting the mountain which would take considerable time weather permitting. I'm just glad it's closing 2 days after I leave. Sorry for those going after.
