How far is the Disney Board Walk from the Beach Club Resort?

I was wondering if anyone knew how far it is from the Beach Club Resort to Disney's Boardwalk. Will I be able to walk there from the beach club resort? My daughter is going to Sand Castle Kid Club while I have dinner at Cape May and I wanted to go over to the Boardwalk to do a little shopping for Christmas for her and rest of the family. Then I will go back to pick her up from the club and we will probably head back over so we can experience it together.

It's not a bad walk, but all depends on where you are and where you want to be. From the dead middle, I'd say 10 minutes. From the closer points, closer to 5. Just mapped it out real quick with gmap pedometer, and the full circle loop is about 8/10 of a mile. Knowing which end you are on and where you want to end up can obviously help get you there faster.

However there really isn't that much more shopping at the Boardwalk than the other resorts. There is a really small shop off the lobby, and then a larger one down below, but I don't recall seeing that much different than in the Yacht/Beach club shops. There is a Wyland Gallery there, but that tends to run more the high end sculpture and painting.

Thank you so much. Sounds like I should take the bus to Downtown Disney for shopping rather the boardwalk.

Assuming you get the bus right away - from the Beach Club to DTD it's at least a 15-25min ride. Sometimes you have to wait 15 minutes to catch the bus. On the way back you will also stop at Typhoon Lagoon, so add another 10 minutes.

Walking over to the Boardwalk and back would be much quicker and more convienent in my opinion.

Are you going to have used a park ticket that day? If you went to Epcot earlier or had a hopper, you could mosey into the back side of Epcot and shop there. Between MouseGears (back towards the middle of the park) and the countries there is a pretty good selection. Otherwise DTD will probably be a better bet for shopping. World of Disney stocks pretty much everything sold on property except for some location specific merchandise, and the other stores carry a good selection of different stuff. You may find some different things at the Swan/Dolphin as they have some other 3rd party stores. But they tend to cater more towards the business traveler who needs a gift to bring home, or who forgot something to wear to an event.

Here is something else to remember. When walking from the Beach Club to the Boardwalk it's best to turn left towards the International Gateway entrance, then you will turn right and see the Boardwalk.

If you went right when leaving the Beach Club it will take you past the Yacht Club. Now if you wanted to go that way there is no problem with it, however in my opinion going the other way will be faster.

As a person with a handicap I can tell you it really isn't a long walk. It's actually very plesant. I would recommend it. Downtown Disney is crowded and busy and although I love it there, boardwalk is it's own environment so do it at least once :)

Thanks for the advice. We have park hopper tickets for that day so I could pop over there to do a little shopping in Epcot too and just forget about downtown disney besides we are going there a few times earlier in the week during our stay at Port Orleans Riverside.

So close! But as the others have said, The Boardwalk isn't the place to go shopping. If you can get into Epcot (you have a park ticket to use) then go into there. The walk to either Beach Club or Epcot is so nice but you can also take the boat too. Hope this helps!
