Respectfully, I disagree with this explanation of evening EMH procedures.
Evening EMH wristband distribution starts precisely 2 hours before the park's public closing time. It's not a set time on the clock for every day, such as 4:00 p.m. ... it's 100% based on that park's public closing time on that day. So if Magic Kingdom closes to the public at 10:00 p.m., EMH wristband distribution will not begin until 8:00 p.m.
Nowadays, unless they are short of equipment or something, you can't just show your resort ID to get a wristband -- they actually scan it with a hand-held scanner. And you can't just go up to them with a handful of cards -- they do it for each person, and the CM (almost always) places the wristband onto each individual's wrist.
I've never heard of showing your resort ID to an attractions CM to gain access to that attraction. No wristband = no ride. You can't just flash your ID.
Another thing.
Under no circumstances are people asked to leave the park. Day guests are still permitted in an evening EMH park, but they aren't permitted on/in the rides/attractions. If they want to hang around and bore themselves then that's their business, but they are not directed to leave the park.
I'm truly not trying to be critical ... just trying to be helpful by sharing accurate information.
I'm not sure what you mean. Children 2 and under don't require a ticket to enter the park, and in fact don't even have tickets. But children 3-9 need a ticket to gain admission to the park at the turnstiles, so how on Earth can you get the kids into a park if you don't have their IDs with you??? And of course, kids 10+ are considered adults as far as Disney's policies and pricing go.
