How do you start out at the MK?

Well, after going through Main Street USA (as Corrus reminds us), we usually head to TomorrowLand. Often start with TTA. This was my first ride at WDW (other than the tram and the monorail). Unless of course, it's an early morning, in which case we head for a mountain.

We usually go for SM in Tomorrowland, then Buzz, and then who knows where. I'm guessing that we will hit the rest of the mountains in short order after that, as our last trip BTMRR was closed so it has to be ridden this trip.

The first three attractions I hit are Splash, Big Thunder, and the Haunted Mansion.

My family usually has breakfast at the Crystal Palace when we go to MK. We get an early reservation and then head to Adventureland first and go counter clockwise around the whole park.

We always do Peter Pan first. We usually have at least one newbie with us and we convince them that "That sure was a thriller, huh?" The we go to BTMR.

This year will be different because we got the earliest sittng at Crystal Palace, and then to Peter Pan to mess with the newbie minds.

With our little ones we do Fantsay Land first, we then head over to TL and Toon Town for a Barnstormer ride. Then we have lunch and we Rail Road to Frontier Land, AL and LS. We go in Sept so line usually aren't a problem. We tend to hit MK a coule of times on our trip so we do whatever on additonal days. Getting FL out of the way in about 30 to 45 mins is SO worth it for the rest of the day.

We head into Adventureland, hit POTC, then move over to Liberty Square for HM. After we've done those two, we may double-back into Frontierland, or we may work into Fantasyland.

We tend to wander with no rhyme or reason.:lol:

I always make my way to Mickey's Philharmagic first Nothing says "You're in Disney World" like Mickey and the gang, accompanied by all of that wonderful Disney music

Straight down Main Street & get a Mickey rice krispy treat dipped in chocolate.....then usually towards adventureland

We head straight to frontierland and work around from there but any way is good when you are there.:wave:

We always get a fastpass for Splash Mountain first and then ride HM.

First, we get a fastpass for Space Mountain, and then we run across the park to ride Haunted Mansion and PotC. That way, we get to see the castle right at the beginning as well. Since we can only get to WDW every five years or so, we try to do as much as possible when we're there.

I have spoken to a few people about how they start out the park, and most say something different.

When we go to MK on the first day, we always start out in Tomorrowland and work our way around the lands that way. We always start out at Buzz and usually ride it twice before moving on. Then we pick up a Fast Pass at SM and return later. If it is not too crowded, we just go on it right then. After finishing Tomorrowland, we journey to Toon Town and continue on from there. On our second day there, we start in Adventureland and hit anything we miss there.:animwink:

Sounds like you are following the recommendation from the 1975 Guidemap. :lol:
