How do you spend your time at WDW?

I'm sitting here watching the 2013 Disney Planning DVD, and I am just floored at the Fantasyland expansion. It literally could rival any Six Flags park all by itself. Right now, we are booked for 7 days. I am thinking about adding an additional day. My plans are to do:

Magic Kingdom for 3 days
Animal Kingdom for 1 day
Hollywood Studios for 1 day
Epcot for 2 days

There will be 4 kids traveling with (8, 6, 3 and 1). So much to think about and to take into consideration. How do you usually divide your time at WDW?

We used to do just 5 park days but on our most recent trips we have been increasing the length of our vacations (yea!) so this trip we are there for 11 days. We are planning:
2 MK Days
2 Epcot days
2 HS days
1 AK day
1 day resort hopping
1 day visiting family in area
2 travel days

I know 2 days in HS may not be necessary, but we always seem to rush this park when we only go one day. I am hoping to enjoy it at a more relaxed pace.

Our typical trip schedule with our 5 and 7-year-olds (6 days, 7 nights) is pasted below. If we're going for 6 days, we skip the Day 2 itinerary below (another full day at MK) and cram it into our final full day. The 7-day plan has 2 1/2 days at MK, 1 1/2 days at Epcot, and a half-day each for AK and HS, 2 half-days devoted to travel to/from Orlando, and 2 half-days that are unplanned.

Daily Schedule: Breakfast in the resort room / In a park at rope drop and tour until lunchtime / CS lunch / go back to the resort for naps or swimming / back to a park from 4-8:30 with a TS dinner / back to the room and in bed around 9pm except for the last full day, when we stay up late for the fireworks.

Parks:
Day 1 - Travel to Orlando / resort check-in / MK (Adventureland, Frontierland, Liberty Square)
Day 2 - Morning at MK (Fantasyland, New Fantasyland) / Evening at MK (Tomorrowland, New Fantasyland)
Day 3 - Morning at HS (whole park) / Evening at dinner show or Disney Springs (formerly Downtown Disney)
Day 4 - Morning at AK (whole park) OR relax, take resort tour / Evening at Epcot (Future World)
Day 5 - Morning at Epcot (finish FW, start World Showcase) / Evening at Epcot (finish World Showcase) / Possible after-dinner visit to HS (see Fantasmic! if the kids are up for it)
Day 6 - Morning at MK (Tom Sawyer Island, Pirate scavenger hunt) / Evening at MK (revisit favorites, stay late for fireworks)
Day 7 - Morning at park of choice / Travel home

Day 1 - Epcot, Day 2 - MK, Day 3 HS, Day 4 AK and back to Epcot. From there on we go where ever the mood takes us. We always end our vacation with a full day of Epcot. Usually on the days we visit HS and AK we'll do the things we want to do then head over to Downtown Disney. Everyday begins at rope drop and no naps allowed, after all we're on vacation. Mid week of our two weeks, we take a day off and go to Tampa to visit the Hard Rock casino and the beach.

One day each for AK and HS. Two days for EP and this will be our first time splitting MK into two days. One day for a water park and some time golfing for my DH and one of our sons while I'm at DTD with the other son. Plus, on some days we try to find some pool time either before or after a park.

What month are you visiting ? I have been doing 12-14 days during the summer months (and we drive in so 2 of those days are always "half days") and pretty much MK still gets the most visits but we spend alot of time at the resort in the pool during the summer...kind of hit the parks in the morning, or if there are EMH, we hit them in the evening/stay up late. 7 days is a nice trip but where is your pool/resort time ?

I don't have children and I live 20 minutes from Disneyland.

MK - 1/2 a day to 1 day
DHS - I ride the great movie ride and leave
AK - 1 day

Park hop to Epcot pretty much every day of the trip.

Just got back and this trip was no different than the way we do most of our trips so here is what we did...

Day 1- check-in resort, relax, Epcot later in the day
Day 2- First full day is always MK, we had dinner Ohana and then off to DTD at night for shopping
Day 3- Epcot in the morning, MVMCP at night so MK again (which was wonderful!)
Day 4- DHS, back to resort and back to DHS at night
Day 5- AK, back to resort midday and Hoop Dee Doo dinner followed by EMH at MK
Day 6- Crystal Palace breakfast and all day at MK
Day 7- Go home :bawling:

We visited MK the most and Epcot twice. that is usually what I always do since they are my favorite parks.
