Hello All:
I was supposed to go to the world for xmas this year but we decided not to as my wife is now pregnant:) . So instead we are going to to a few xmas's from now....but anyway. The reason I am posting is because I miss WDW and to deal with that beside surfing around here I pulled out some old Imagineering books and started to re-read them but I was wondering what do you do to deal with WDW Withdrawal?

Let's see:

frequent this and several other Disney related websites

record and watch all the Travel Channel Disney specials

ditto for the Great Hotels shows with WDW resorts

watch all my old WDW planning DVDs

read my WDW Resort Pictoral Memory book

plan my future trip ad nauseum :D

Jheyman,

Just out of curiosity, why can't you still go? I realize there are certain rides she couldn't go on but there is plenty to do!

Well its pretty close to her due date and we kinda decided it would be better to wait save up some more and go for a longer period of time with our new baby once s/he is here! The trip planning was kind of rushed anyway and this was going to be a big family event (cousin's, grandparents etc) so we all decided to do it another time. My wife (and my cousin's wife) I think was just the catalyst to canceling the trip, disapointing sure, but im excited about bring our first child down for its first trip to the most magical place on earth!:sohappy:

Just concentrate on your newborn, and before you know it, ...... I'm gonna stop right there, because I don't have any children yet, so.........my only suggestion is that you leave the youngster with an emendate family member (an infant is too young to enjoy Disney) And go to Disney as a reward to yourself for bringing a new life to this place we call earth ;)

Oh man. I just got back from WDW a couple days ago and I'm already going through major withdrawls. I haven't really done anything for it though. lol I don't want to watch any DVDs or anything I have because that'll just make me miss it more and I'm not sure when I'll be going back...actually I know for sure I'll be there in January (moving to Orlando), but before that, I dunno if I'll be back.

I miss it!

LOL if that were only that easy.....and lets not get into a talk about when is a good time for a baby to go to WDW...I had this arguement once on the travel board....needless to say that thread is now locked. But thanks!

I plan our next trip, if only in my head.
Then I work and try to make it really happen.
And of course, coming here is the next best thing to being there!
Thank God for you people!

The way that I deal with it is to plan another trip and see how much I can cram into that trip. I never try to do everything in all of the parks, so I have a reason to come back. I have based an entire trip to step on those tree boxes at DTD. I used to go 2 times a year but now I cant because of work. This year I went on a week long trip and two weekend trips to visit my girlfriend. Now we are going at the turn on the year for a week. I cant wait because we are staying at AKL. This website also helps when I need a pickup, but I am so busy all the time that thinking about the trip never crosses my mind. We are 80 days out, everything is booked, and I havent thought twice about it yet.

We go to Disney World once a year in May. In between visits we have a countdown going from the time we get back in May until the day we leave the next May. We are at 195 days. Every weekend we plan our next trip, talk about everything we want to do next time. We also look at pictures and videos from our last trip. We listen to Disney CDs and even have a Jammin Jungle Parade around our house. We do this every weekend and it makes that next 195 days go by soooo quickly.
