How do you deal with time away from the world?

I come on here nearly every day!
Read through my guide books and imagine....
I'm going to see The Lion King in the west end next weekend so that's like a checkpoint I'm currently waiting for.... only about 339 days to go til I'm back in WDW (seems like tomorrow.....:lookaroun )

Book your next trip now, buy the unoffical guide. Read and plan, read and plan. Rent lots of disney movies and enjoy the pod casts.:sohappy:

Just in case no one mentioned it, pod casts are easily downloaded without owning an Ipod.
I'm a big fan of Inside the Magic.

Since I do have one, on my audio only Ipod, I have an extensive WDW playlist of practically everything, monorail spiels new and old, ride-throughs of everything, background music from the lands, isolated tracks from attractions, parades, shows, ticket announcements, ride shut down announcements, cautions, and other stuff that would make non WDW-fanatics cringe.
I even have a ton of stuff from the other Disney parks along the same lines.
You gotta love the internet.
Of course, it's all backed up multiple times.:p

I have tons of other music as well, but the WDW stuff gets listened to a lot more.

A set of headphones and with a little imagination, I'm there.
I set it to shuffle. Woo Hoo!
Once in a while, a Haunted Mansion scream will shuffle through. Strange, but I'm not leaving it out.

Does anyone else do this?
I enjoy it more than most ride videos I've seen, no matter how good.

I always have another trip planned. Being in DVC, it's easy to look forward to the next trip. Going down in March '07 and then again in Feb '08. After that, I'm hoping for a big trip for Xmas '09. Daughter will be in college and son in high school but they insist they will always want to go to WDW. With kids getting older and going separate ways, it's nice to have something that we all enjoy doing together.

I actually have a disney room in my house. I collect Disney Big figs ( have around 50 of them- the room is really full) and I have animation cels , art work and my disney marathon metals- it's the happiest room in Atlanta!

Let's see:
frequent this and several other Disney related websites
... watch all the Travel Channel Disney specials
ditto for the Great Hotels shows with WDW resorts
plan my future trip ad nauseum :D
I think we may be related because that's exactly what I do. And as I've earned a reputation as an expert, when asked I help other people plan their WDW trips.

Hum....sounds like a good idea...but where do you get all the audio tracks from? I know a lot of the videos are on Geoffry's site (thanks Martin!) but I dont know if I have found an audio site....

I just plan our vacation. I guess what can hold you off and count the days/weeks/years is to start planning. Doing research on finding better prices on tickets/hotel/airfar/etc. is half the fun (for me at least.) That's what I've been doing. Plus watching my past vacation videos, watching old planning DVD's, watching movies, chatting online, etc.

make countdows, talk about disney here, stare at the countdowns, bug my friends, cry because the countdown doesnt point to any day soon......
That and trying to find hidden mickeys in my house and stuff-but thats just my obsession with the mouse......
