How do I take on the Magic Kingdom?

Hey guys! We leave early Wednesday morning for our trip to Disney World! We are staying 1/10-4/17 at AoA- Cars suite. I am super excited because we haven't been in a little over 4 years and each day before has been dragging on because i can't wait anymore! Anyways, I was thinking about how i was going to make my way through completing Magic Kingdom and getting what we want done and I have no clue whatsoever. I was wondering if anyone could give me an idea as to what they do when tackling Magic Kingdom, it would be very helpful. It would be even better if someone would tell me what to do in order to get the most done including tips and what lands to start in. Anything is helpful really, I just am really Stressed about MK. (I also need some fastpass tips on when and where to get them) Keep in mind I will be spending 2 1/2 days of my trip in MK and will be wanting to spend most our time in Fantastland and tomorrowland. We also plan to go on peter pans flight, space mountain,splash mountain (this is my first time ever on splash )pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion,and buzz Lightyear at least 2 times and most of them 3. I really need some advice and I have 6 days to come up with some sort of idea of what im going to do so I would really appreciate help from you guys, Thanks!!

As for the website that someone else said that costs you money to make a plan... Dump it... If you can organize on paper, you don't need to pay a website for something that is free (sounds like that is a cheap bump for someone's personal business).

Although I'd drive from the Grand Floridian to the MK by way of Apopka if Len Testa said it would be fastest, I am not in any way associated with the Touring Plans / Unofficial Guide people. I just happen to think they have an excellent product there. I also do not own LL Bean, but highly recommend their winter coats if one's major desire in a coat is warmth.

Disney World is exceedingly overwhelming. People spend months learning all about it in order to make plans. The OP has days. The easiest and most reliable way to get everything in would be to have a good plan, but it would be difficult for the OP to create one in the short time they have.

And that is why I recommend the touringplans.com site. I like it. I have used it and the Unofficial Guide for more years than I can remember, but nearly two decades for the UG. Works well for me and for others. When I say "Here's what I'd do..." It IS what I'd do...and many times, it's what I've done. I've used touringplans.com. I'm working on my little badges in the Lines app (free with a subscription)...I like the product. A lot. And I'm familiar enough with it to think it is WELL worth what they charge.

There just isn't any easier way. And it's only $12...not a ha' penny of which lands in my pocket. I don't own it. I don't work for them. I don't even know them. I don't even know anybody who knows them, lol.

They don't pay me. They should, lol, as often as I recommend their service! But, sadly, I get no kickback. Not even an autographed UG, which I hope to one day get when they have a meet I can attend.

I'd go to touringplans.com, pony up the $12 (less if you have an Unofficial Guide), and create a plan. You check off what time you're arriving and what you want to do. It spits out a plan to help you get as much done in as short a time as possible.

Well worth the $12, IMO.

I don't really use the plans any longer. On rare occasions, I might...like when my sister visits with the boys and we will skip EO, but must ride Test Track twice...but generally not. I just use the Lines app.

But when I do want a plan, I will use the UG and touringplans.

I'm not even sure the easywdw guy knows more than I do, lol.

I think that the best suggestion you have received from everyone is to get there before rope drop. You can get so much done in that first hour or two, regardless of any touring plan you may have. Here's what we accomplished this past December on a 9.4 crowd level day:

We got there before 8am rope drop, saw the opening ceremony, ran to Space Mountain which we rode twice, Astro Orbiter twice, Buzz Lightyear, Indy Racecar, Haunted Mansion, BTMRR, Splash Mtn, and Pirates of the Caribbean – all by 10:30am and without FPs! Then we caught the monorail to the Poly, and after brunch at Kona Cafe, we came back to the MK and rode the Teacups, tried Stitch’s Great Escape for the first (and last) time, went to the Enchanted Tiki Room, got Dole Whips, went to Mickey’s PhilHarmagic, used FPs for the new Under the Sea ride, and checked out the new Fantasyland area. We souvenir shopped, watched Cinderella’s Castle Lights Show, rode the WDW Railroad, ate dinner at Cosmic Rays, watched the Main Street Electrical Parade, and left at the time of the fireworks. Not bad for a 9.4 crowd level day!

Since you're gonna be spending 2 1/2 days at MK I recommend breaking it by land. Start in one land and do everything you desire there and then move onto the next land. You might be able to get that done in one day and if not definitely in two. Then on the half day you spend you guys can go back and do everything that you really liked again! I suggest starting in either Tomorrowland or Fantasyland.

Well, you didn't make your plan, the website did.

Telling the OP to use the site, telling me to use the site, telling Bob Saget to use the site, it doesn't matter... You're promoting a site for which $12 could be put to better use elsewhere.

Well, if you respect my views and would never suggest me to do otherwise, then remove your promotion of UG.
