How do I get from the Pop Century to the Poly at 8:00am?

We booked an early breakfast at Ohanas but we are staying at the Pop Century so I'm kind of confused at how to get there before the Magic Kingdom opens.

Should I get a cab? I thought I read that disney can provide you with their own transportation.. how dependable is that and how do I book it?

Any help would be appreciated.. :wave:

My boyfriend and I have the same problem since we have a 7:30 ADR for Ohana on Feb 19th. I called POP Century and asked them what time the Disney buses started run, the CM that I talked to told me that Disney buses start running at 7am. I hope this helps. When are you going?

So your gonna catch the bus at 7:00am from Pop Century to Magic Kingdom then catch the boat from magic kingdom to the Poly all by 7:30am? That sounds almost impossible unless they have another bus direct to Poly or should we call a cab?

Take a taxi - it will only cost about $15 (including tip) and takes about 15 minutes.

Stuff like this is why I always rent a car, even when staying on-site!

That being said, if the MK opens at 9, it is likely buses will be running early enough. Also, check the morning extra magic hours schedule. If there is a park with morning EMH that day, that park will likely be opening at 8, meaning buses to that park will start running by 7 as well.

I cannot say this enough... if there is a certain time you need to be somewhere... ESPECIALLY if it requires waiting for more than one mode of transportation... TAKE A TAXI!!!! It won't cost you that much and will eliminate some headaches for sure!

It will take you longer than 30 minutes to travel from Pop Centry to Magic Kingdom & Magic Kingdom to Poly. You should look at other transportation options.

The CM that I talked to at POP Century said that there is a bus that runs from POP to the Poly. If not well we will have our car.


EDIT: I just got off the phone with a CM at POP Century and she said for early Character breakfast ADR's at any resort there is character breakfast bus that will take you to the resort of your ADR. It starts running at 6:45AM and you pick it up at the Magic Kingdom bus stop at POP Century. I hope this made since. I'm just passing along info that I got. Please don't shoot the messenger.

Resort transportation, like previously posted, begins at 6:45 at most resorts to accommodate reservations at other resort TS locations, like Ohana or Chef Mickey's. For Magic Kingdom resorts, board at the designated stop and tell the bus driver where you are headed to (you will be dropped directly at the resort bus stop).

These are the guidelines that guests need to know:

• Arrive 60 minutes at the designated bus loading zone prior to your reservation time. Fort Wildnerss guests (only) should arrive 45 minutes prior to their seating time. (Bus service is variable, and may start earlier than "posted" times)
• Guests traveling to the Grand Floridian, Polynesian or Contemporary Resorts should proceed to the Magic Kingdom load zone and board the Magic Kingdom bus. Monorail transportation is also available beginning at 7:00 am.
• Guest traveling to the Beach Club may proceed to the Disney's Hollywood Studios load zone and load this bus.
• After park opening, please use normal routes to make your reservation time.
• All guests should inform their bus driver that they headed to a character breakfast. In most cases, you will be dropped off directly at the resort where your breakfast take place.

Yes it works. When I stayed at the Pop last October I went to Ohana for breakfast. The bus will come to the Magic Kingdom bus stop. I called the front desk the night before to make sure there was a bus coming and they said yes. It came and I had no problems. The bus driver asked where I was going and he dropped me off at the Polynesian and I had plenty of time.

Now THIS is great information! However, if you have a car ANYWAY, driving is always most convenient. I usually never rent one, but a on a recent trip we were driving to WDW from somewhere else and we had to have a car for the other portion of our trip. Having the car at WDW was very convenient for us as we ate at several resorts when bus service wasn't going to be convenient. But normally I take a cab.

I agree with taking a taxi unless you have a vehicle of your own. It seems like it would be easier than taking a bus that early in the morning.
