How do I get from Port Orleans Riverside to Polynesian?

My family is staying at POR and our first morning there we have to get up early and get to the Polynesian resort for the O'Hana breakfast.

Does anyone know what the best way is to get there using Disney transportation? I was thinking if the busses run to the TTC we could just hop on the monorail from there and it would be a nice way to enter the resort but I don't even know if busses run to the TTC or just directly to each park

If anyone has advice on how to get there and how long we should allow for traveling time it would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

The buses do not go to the TTC they will go straight to the park. Depending on your reservation time you can take the bus to MK and then either the monorail or boat to the Poly. If you have an early reservation (Before 8:00 AM) there is a shuttle to take you directly from your resort to a character breakfast. You can arrange for the shuttle at the front desk of your resort.

My resrvation is at 8:30, do you know if they will still offer the shuttle at that time?

Though I do like the idea of arriving by monorail because with the Disney transport from the hotel I can't see us on the monorail too often and I think the kids would love it. Any advice on how long we should give to take the bus to MK then the monorail? Would an hour suffice? I would rather be early and have a chance to poke around the resort for a while than to risk being late.

Thanks
El.

If you get to the TTC you can very easily walk to the Polynesian - that's what we did when we stayed there. Then you're in no rush before dinner and can take the monorail afterwards.

To be safe I would allow for 1 hour. The worst that will happen is that you will have some time to look around the resort.

There should be a special, early bus for the Character breakfasts, like at the Polynesian and at Chef Mickey's in the Contemporary.
It comes by before the normal buses begin showing up.

Double check with the Guest Services counter at POR the day before your reservation. A lot of people go to Chef Mickey's that way. The bus may say 'Chef Mickeys' on it.
Have fun.

Hi

We're doing the same thing, and we have an 8 am ressie. I was told that upon check-in at POR, to tell them that I have an 8 am ressie at the Poly on such-and-such a day and they will then have a "breakfast bus" pick us up and take us straight to the Poly.

Have fun!

We stayed at POFQ in January. We had early ADR's for 'Ohanas. We took the MK bus. Driver dropped us off at Poly. He also dropped off people off for Chef Mickey's. You won't have any problems. Have a great trip!
