Is it true that I need to call 180 days out from the date we want in order to get reservations? Holy Mouse Crap!!:hammer:

Its true and you had better be on when the phone lines open. Have alternative days and times ready, just in case. If you get turned down don't give up, call everyday if possible and check while you are there too. Good Luck.

I just called for a dinner reservation there, i think I was at 179 days out. There was very few spots open for the night I wanted.....better call right around 180 days.

When I was working in MK last year a lot of guests said that they called or stopped by and got in because there had been a cancelation.

It is very ture! Just as HOOK said you want to be calling when the lines open, maybe even start before they are supposed to be open. If you can't get it at that point....keep trying! It never hurts to check, just don't hold your breath.

As soon as you can make the reservation. But luckily for us we never book our trip 180 days out its always 4 months or sooner. I manage to get Cinderellas royal table for lunch at 120 days or less out.

I guess if you really want a guarantee that you will get reservations call the 180 days in advance but last year we got a 5:30 seating for 4 for our Dec trip in late Aug. the first try. It may depend on the time of year that you go too, since we went at supposedly one of the least popular times. I think Le Cellier is harder to get ressies for these days.

Lunch and dinner are almost always open. But the breakfast is the one that goes right away.

I don't know about dinner, but I don't think breakfast is as difficult as it used to be.

I had no problem getting the day and time I wanted for a late August trip, when I called in early April (about 140 days out). I called in late April to change it to a different day, and again had no trouble.

On a different web site other people have also reported less trouble than a couple of years ago in getting ADRs.

Hail Satan as your dark lord and master while letting the cold black void of nothingness encompass your soul. Oh and do this 180 days in advance.

Remeber that you can book 180days from your arrival date if your staying at a WDW resort - that helps things.

It's not just CRT either, other popular places like Le Cellier and California Grill fill up very quickly too!

I called 180 days out the second the phone lines opened. We called at the same time on 3 different phones!! I got the lunch reservation I wanted. Breakfast and lunch go first since all the princesses are there for those. I would call at 180 days. Why wait?

So if you absolutely positively want to get your castle fix... 194 days from the time you want a castle breakfast, book a hotel for a 14 day stay that ends on the day you want the castle breakfast... then after you book the trip make your castle reservation... after you get it, cancel the hotel reservation.... now you just jumped to the front of the line and because you cancelled the hotel early you get no penalty.

About 5 years ago I tried to get Breakfast with the Princesses at the Castle and called 180 days out for the 3 days that we were going to be there. I was on the phone at 6:58 holding and at 7:02 they were all gone... :( It was wild!!!!!!!!!! So.......... We made Chef Mickey reservations and had a much better time I think than we would have at the Castle but that is JMO. I guess things have calmed down some since then.

Oh yea, the only princess we didn't see in the park that time was Cinderella. Go figure that she was the one my friend's granddaughter wanted to see the most. But she quickly forgot about it once she was in the parks and having a blast. She was 4 at the time... One of my fav trips so far. Seeing through childrens eyes is totally different.

I don't know, I called roughly about 100 days before my honeymoon (it's in July, I called in March), and got ADR's for CRT Breakfast which I was also told was impossible to get unless you called 180 days before.

Also booked dinner at Kona, dinner at Ohana & the Keys to the Kingdom tour, all w/no problems. Although I don't think these other things are as difficult to book as CRT. Fiance & I ate dinner at CRT in 2005, by calling every morning starting about 3 weeks before our trip. Booked it about a week before our trip.

I think things book right away, 180 days out, and then have lots of cancellations as time goes on. I've never called at 7:00 AM 180 days before, and I've always managed to eat where I wanted. Maybe I am just lucky. :)
