How Disney bypassed God

Another point that has been overlooked is that the early animated movies, and even some of the newer ones, were based on existing fairy tales. Disney didn't "create" the magic in these stories, it already existed.

Snow White, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, etc. have been around for centuries, in one form or another. They're all part of the universal theme of good vs evil that exists in all folklore from all cultures. Snow White and Cinderella both had beautiful but evil villians, which was part of their moral. In Snow White (the original story), the dwarves are ugly but good, the queen is beautiful but wicked, and Snow White's beauty is her initial downfall. She doesn't find happiness until after she experiences and reciprocates the kindness of the dwarves.

I believe these stories show that beauty without kindness, goodness, and humility is worthless. As an adult female, I find the passive nature of most traditional heroines' roles to be annoying, but when I was a child who still believed in magic, I found them comforting.

Disney did not remove references to God in these stories; they were never overtly there to begin with.

The only similar thing I can think of in regards to a Church is the small chapels present in most Hospitals. These are usually non-denominational but tend to lean towards Catholicism (at least the ones I have been in).

The article kinda matches my sig. Where has Disney built it's house. . .on the solid Rock or on sinking sand?

If on sinking sand, it has been widely succesful in a secular way. I find it funny, sometimes, when Christains complain on the success of non-Christian companies/people, i.e. Hugh Heffner's Playboy, Hustler Mag, etc.

We must remember that success on earth does not equate to success after death. . .
