Back around late 1998/early 1999 with the closure of Horizons.
It wasn't for a few years later I joined the discussion forums.

Actually I did a search on some Mission: Space stuff, that took me to this site. I didn't actually know about the boards until some time later while just checking the site out, looked really cool so I joined in August and it has become the second site I go to after getting on AOL (first is Screamscape for the news and rumors).

I was just looking around for WDW sites, and I found this one, luckily!!!

My then boyfriend Ryan (TestTrack on the boards) found it while doing some research for the trip we took with my family Spring Break of my Senior year (all the way back in 2002) and he told me about it. I'm not really sure how he found it.

If it wasn't that big, it wouldn't have caught nearly as much attention as it was moved to a relatively unpopular forum.

One of my friends was always telling me these insider stories of stuff that was happening at wdw, or stuff that was going to happen, or how the parades and rides work, and I wanted to be able to find out all this cool stuff for myself! One day he read me this thread on the best kissing spots in wdw, I saw the site, logged on to "news and rumors" and was instantly hooked!

Well I used to be a member of intercot, but a year and a half ago, several of us were having problems with the censorship on the boards, much much stricter there then here, I was even chastised for saying I was having a "HELL" of a week cause all in the same week A good friend of mine was killed in an auto accident, I was in an auto accident and my sister was in an auto accident and she had her 2 year old daughter and 7 month old son in the car.
and I was sent a nasty letter from one of the mods to Edit out the word hell. MKT was posting there and he suggested to me and Vince and a few others that we check out this site. And I have been hooked ever since.

Wow.... I could have written almost the same thing!
My then boyfriend Ryan (Ryan on the boards) gave me the link one day after we came back from living in Orlando, to remember the magic. I have no clue how he found it!
(and he is from Michigan too!.... don´t tell me your name is also Maria! lol)

I saw a Twilight Zone episode (Eye of the Beholder) that was very similar. I think Donna Douglas was the star in that one.

I believe back then I was still using MSN to do my searching (I know, google, google, google) and wdwmagic was first on the list. I clicked the link, saw Horizons being demolished, and had a heart attack. I knew it was being torn down, but actually seeing it had me in tears.
Ever since that day I have craved insider info. About 3 - 4 months after initially finding the site, I joined the forums and became the nicest guy around. Soon after that, the idiots in the forums got to me, and I stopped being nice. And now, well now I guess I'm whatever you all think of me.
