How crowded will the parks be this Saturday 11/11?

So how reliable is touring plans btw? Something odd I noticed is that they consistently have Saturdays busier than Sundays for the rest of the year. From personal experience, I'm not sure if that's true.

I don't find them to be that reliable personally for the reason you mentioned. They don't seem to take into account AP blackout calendars. Sunday's and Friday nights are typically much busier than Saturday's in my experience.

In Orlando we went early March and they have every park at 8 for the week. When we got there it was the first time I had seen the parks that dead in years. The longest wait all week was TSMM at 55.

Yikes! But to be fair Veterans Day is being observed today and So Cal passes aren't blocked.

Yep, a school holiday for most, courts are closed. City and County governments depends on the individual entity.

Postal Service will honor the actual day, Saturday with closures and no delivery.

Today appears to have been insane. I received a tweet from Disney stating that all parking lots were full. God help those that try to visit when SW land opens.

Now I'm worried. :(
I think you may be a bit better off given the holiday today. I have many friends that are deluxe or higher AP's that were there with their families because school was out. That being said, I still expect it to be busier than normal...if there is such a thing as normal anymore.

Wasn’t crowded as much as yesterday... Today they had a special celebration at the train station for the Vets at around 4ish. Was really cool, they had fireworks on main street that scared the crap out of me.

Ok so yesterdays crowd level kind of went back and forth between feeling like a notch below insanity and just a regular busy Sunday in the fall or Spring. But most of the day felt like the latter. I met my friends at the McDonald’s on Harbor at 9am (so my wife could jump in their car and they could get free parking. Shhhh) we left Mickey D’s at 9am and we didn’t get inside the park until almost 10:30! Absolute mayhem to get inside the park. Never experienced anything like it before. This trip made me realize that doing your homework and cherry picking the days you visit wisely go a long way. Making a left from Harbor onto Ball took about 15 minutes. Then I cost myself some more time by trying to be slick... instead of waiting in the mile long line to make a left onto Disneyland drive, I made a right and then a semi dangerous U turn (passing the clogged fly over ramp to the parking) thinking I could use the entrance to the parking structure that you can enter when you pass the Ball/ Disneyland drive intersection. Nope. That was coned off. Went all the way around the resort and did the same thing. Except this time I got on the ramp that must have taken at least 35 minutes to get to to the toll booth.

The Security tents were fairly busy but I’ve seen worse. We didn’t bother with the Tram and walked towards Downtown Disney. One thing I found odd is that there was a pop up security check before the permanent security checks by ESPN zone. However right before we were going to be checked one of the security officers said “ok no more, just let em through” and began to let everyone through with no screening. But here’s the kicker.. they let everyone through at the permanent security check too. So yesterday, on a packed Veterans Day, my group and many others walked into DLR with absolutely no security check. :bored:

Part 2 coming up....
