How busy is right now for people that have been around this time? Asking because I’m looking at waiting times on the app & they don’t seem to very bad save for the major rides like Avatar rides & toy story rides.

I am here right now and it’s been great. We have waited for nothing over 20 mins(been to EP and HS). Today by 11 we had done Soarin, Ling off the Land, Nemo, The Seas, Test Track (twice), MS, and the ride in Mexico. We also stopped to watch the Jamminators set. We got to the park at opening. The heat hasn’t been bad either.

Someone else had posted that over at touringplans, a lot of their crowd size predictions have shifted significantly lower. I've noticed it too. Not 100% sure why that is. I've read some articles about how, even though average incomes have gone up and unemployment is lower, actual purchasing power has gone down. I wonder if it's enough to discourage travel...

There's also been a bit of a slump amongst foreigners coming to visit America the past few years; I'm sure that affects smaller big cities more than the biggest tourist destinations like NYC, LA/San Francisco and Orlando, but that doesn't necessarily mean they're not affected at all. But if fewer people are coming in to visit, and fewer Americans can afford to go away on vacation...

I also suspect the affect on the economy, combined with higher gas prices and Disney's continued habit of hiking prices higher than average cost of living increases, and you're seeing fewer repeat visits by repeat customers. As it's more expensive to travel, maybe people who'd normally visit multiple times a year are opting for one longer trip.

All of this is just me spouting, take it with a grain of salt.

As long as you plan ahead a get your fast passes in line It’s good. I haven’t had a significant wait all week. The worst was a random m&g my 5yo d wanted to do.

@Much-Pixie-Dust that was pretty much our Epcot experience on Thursday substitute frozen for M:S. It was much busier when we came back for dinner but it appeared to be mostly drink around the worlders

Just got back..... MK was nuts.... Epcot was pleasently quiet. Hollywood was crazy and so was Animal Kingdom.
Go to Epcot we had a blast. And rope drop everything else.

Friday the crowds were almost eriely light at Epcot but yesterday at MK was a madhouse. My theory is the weekend crowds are heavier due to locals coming in for the day. I’ll report back after tomorrow.

We’ve specifically chosen to hold off on our 2 week trip from the U.K. until the 20th of August as it looked like those two weeks will be quieter. We get back just in time for school here and HOPEFULLY get a slightly quieter time to visit (is the theory at least).

The best bet for any time of the year at any park, have your fastpasses and GET THERE FOR ROPE DROP! The Disney parks of today is NOT for the casual tourist. It requires planning and rope drop

Having said that, if you have enough money, all problems can be solved, the best resort, club level, extra fast passes, reservations made for you, hard ticket events, VIP tours, dinner packages etc.
