I can't get in to mgm for extra magic hour, so I was wondering how bad the waits will be for RNR and TOT if I am amongst the first people waiting at the entrance to go in the moment it opens?

How early should I show up at the gait?

Do you think I will get a few rides on TOT without alota wait if I am in early enough?

thanks, I'm just so anxious to go and ride these two.

When are you going? If you are going at a non-peak time, shouldn't be a problem. If you are going during a peak time, avoid the early entry days and be there half an hour before opening. Hit one then the other, wait times will be minimum. From what people have posted, RnRC seems to go down as the day progresses, so maybe hit that one first, then ToT.

It seems lately, the crowds have been at RNR in the afternoons!

If it looks like everyone is heading in the same direction, get a fast pass for one, and ride the other. By the time you get off, it will be time to ride the other. Then you can do this again or if the lines aren't bad, keep riding!

If you're going during Spring Break, it will be crowded!

well, i went today, and all the cheerleaders are here... and there are a LOT of them...

today being sunday was packed at the studios... 30 minutes at tt and rnrc all day - which isn't too bad, but they have been walk ons for the past two weeks...

go early, or right before fantasmic.

Most resorts are at 100% capacity for the weekend. The only ones that aren't are OKW and Yacht and Beach.

Cheerleaders have overtaken the All-Stars and a bunch are also at Carribean Beach. Nearly 75% of All-Stars are groups right now.

However, they will be leaving tomorrow and Tuesday.

The Contemporary's cheerleaders left today, trophy in hand. We're totally full next weekend too. Crazy time, right now.

oops

dumb of me not to post a time of year for my question. Anyway, yes, I chose a not-so-smart time of year = mid-march/S.break season, as this was the only time I could get away for a quick disney weekend fix.

Thanks for the help on this. I'm just hoping to get in a few good rides and repeats on TT and RNR in the morning, while wife and son sleep. Oh, and it will be on Sunday morning, which probably is very packed.

Disneyjill or turkeylegboy, you might know this. We're at Contemporary Feb 21-25. The agent on the phone said it's completely booked ( for the weekend anyway). Any idea why? Is there a convention?

Makes me a little nervous about crowd levels:lookaroun !

When it comes to hitting the rides its always best to hit RNR and TOT first, after that I woule probably hit Backlot Tour (when its open) then head on to GMR, You shouldnt have to worry too much about catching muppets, star tours, and indy as lines for those are usually small to medium throughout the day.

human map here with some inspirational tips that goes for all of the parks if its off season it doesn't matter you can walk on rides other times that is what fastpasses are used for.
also if your planning on a early arrival to epcot even go around 10am because world showcase won't be open which means people aren't at the parks yet but it was about mgm right see some hints work. mgm usual opens at about 9 but even at 10 or 11 the lines are still small even during peak for the fact that many people wake up late or in the case of mgm lots wait for fantasmic and the resturants for at night. i would suggest go on rnrc and get a fastpass before wait on line then ride it again. or get a fastpass for tower before you ride rnrc considering they are so close people ride them together and around 9 to about 2 in the afternoon is the best time after that and once it hits 6pm its gets crowded around that area.
the other best bet for most of the parks except epcot is during the parades ride the rides most of the them will have a much shorter wait time due to the fact everyone else watches the parade you will notice you won't be the only true disney person doing that b/c once you seen the parade its old:sohappy:

As has already been said - it depends on the season.
If your going July/August or over Easter then go to a park thats not operating the early entry system OR be prepared to wait.

This past Saturday afternoon (2/7/04) RnRC had a wait time between 40-60 minutes. TOT was sitting at around a 90 minute wait.

I don’t see why you need to go that direction right away. Those rides always have wait times. If you head towards GMR, Star Tours, and Muppets first thing in the morning you can just about walk onto everything on that side of the park. Then you’ll have the rest of the day to use fast pass for ToT and RnRC. That’s what I did on my last trip and it worked great!

We used the touring plan from The Unofficial Guide to WDW a few trips back and had at most a 5 minute wait on ANY ride. We rode everything we wanted and were out of the park to the MK for lunch by 11:30. I HIGHLY recommend the plans to anyone who has a limited time in the parks. They are the most efficient way to get in the most rides that I have found.
