Hotel with through CM discount

Has anyone booked a room using their friends CM discount? and could tell me how it works?

Not to be a jerk but why wouldn't you ask your friend? If he or she is nice enough to offer you their discount, surely they'd help you navigate the reservation process.

I have done this in the past. The CM was a close friend, so I just gave him my planned itinerary and a credit card number. If my memory serves me correct, I believe that he had to stop by the front desk at some to validate our stay once we arrived.

If I am not mistaken the CM themselves must do the reservation. They can use your credit card (don't quote me on that though) but they have to be the one to process the reservation.

I was just wondering because I also have a reservation and we are waiting on our friend to see if he can extend so he will be here through August so I was just wondering if we'd be able to switch the room to get the discount or something, but i will just talk to him when the time comes. just a question

We had the good fortune of having a CM offer us his employee discount several years ago. We were able to make the reservation ourself using his employee number but he had to appear at the resort before we checked-in to provide his ID to our reservation.

The cast member can either do it via the hub or can call in. There are sometimes discounts depending on occupancy but those are for reservations within a month so I wouldnt count on them. The reservation can be done using someone else's credit card. The cast member can get usually either a 40 if they are not staying in the room or 50% discount on the room. The cast member has to go 10 days before to show them their id
