Me three...although my problem is with the Capital One bunch.

I mailed a payment to them last Friday (mind you it goes from here to CT), and I fully admit that it was also due on Friday, but oh well. So, they called us today (technically 1 business day after its due date) looking for the payment. I told them how I had sent it friday and apologized for it getting there late. Well, apparently I'm supposed to allow 10 days for payment to be processed. Who are they kidding?1 Anyway I agreed to let them take the late fee out of my checking account, but I was soooooo PO'd!

Well, unfortunately, I had to make a payment on my Capital one late a couple of times, because of when paychecks fell...now, they have the right to raise my interest rate after something like that, but they jacked it up to 28% and raised my minimum by $90. So, I am cancelling the account and looking to transfer my balance somewhere else. I need to call them soon, but I've been dreading it.

I say we all go on a bill-paying moratorium!

Yes, I'm assuming they'll raise our rates now too. I just thought it was pretty nervy of them to call when the payment was only one day late, and is no doubt at its destination by now! 10 days?????? !!!!!!!

Have you thought about making your payments online, Betty? I do it that way now and its soooo easy. I schedule the payment to be made on the due date, and the amount I enter gets debited from our checking account. And it usually occurs a day or two after the due date.... But no late fees are charged, b/c it's on the cc company to actually debit the money out.

Most times they rocommend seven, but not 10. Can you sign up to pay on-line? That's what I do. Except you need to make sure it's paid before the actual due date, because no matter what they say, if you pay the day of, even if it's before their deadline, they will not post it till it's late. That's happened to me a couple of times.
We're also hoping to switch our mortgage payment into a bi-monthly thing, so it doesn't take so much out of our check.

Dave's pretty adamant about keeping our banking off the internet, so it's not an option for us.
