What was behind these two sections of glass?

My other question pertains to certain pictures of Horizons (front view) that had something on top of the roof. I can't really describe what it looked like other than something sitting on top of the roof. Am I crazy?

Wow, a picture of two very very great attractions replaced by some that are still great, but lack the heart that these original EPCOT rides had. I wish they could have atleast done M:S where WOL is so that Horizons would still be there.

Any scientific breakthroughs on time travel yet.

The roof housed a platform in the South West corner, behind the parapet, with a VIP guest controlled camera and weather instruments. The corporate lounge was indeed on the upper floor, but further back from the `windows` - these panes of dark glass around the upper roof were false windows with nothing behind them. The camera was viewed from the VIP lounge since the lounge had no windows of its own.

The ground floor windows were similarly false; behind the arrowed window was the original cyc for the exit `Prologue and the Promise` mural. A little further back were real windows and a door, leading to the ground floor VIP reception area - a lift and stairs took guests up to the lounge.
