Hopper Option and Water Parks/Pleasure

Probably a stupid question but i'm trying to figure something out...

If we get the 7 day ticket with Park Hopper option and one day go to a water park (but no other park), does it count as one of the 7 days or is it supplemental, so to speak?

We're planning on going from a Thurs to a Thurs. Despite two days being travel days, we'll still be visiting parks potentially 7 of the 8 days, with one day as a water park day. Want to make sure i don't need to get 8 days.

Thanks

Hi there Actually you should be getting a six or a seven day ticket ( depending on how much time you have on your travel days) and add the Park Hopper Feature.. This will allow you to go to multiple parks on one calendar day without giving up more than one of you ticket days to do it!!! As far as buying the extra feature for the water parks, I wouldnt do that it is somewhere around $45.00 extra for this option and will give you FOUR!!!!!!!! plus options. I would say unless you plan on downgrading your ticket dramatically that might be a bit of overkill and you may be better off just purchasing the waterpark separately. Check out this website for more detailed pricing on all of the tickets with all of the options :

Any other questions, please feel free to post!!!It is a very confusing system with a lot to know and Id love to help!!! Belle

To answer your question:

When you order a 7 day Magic Your Way Ticket, you get seven days of entrance to the parks. When you add the Park Hopper option, (only $24) you can go to any of those parks for the 7 days, going between them as you would like. When you add the $45 Magic Plus Pack option, you get 5 Magic Plus Pack Options. Those 5 include: Blizzard Beach, Typhoon Lagoon, Pleasure Island, DisneyQuest, and Wide World of Sports. Going to one of those plusses does not count toward the original 7 days of the MYW pass. Using one of the MPP options will only take away one of your options.

Hope this helped.
Edit: Let me throw in my $.02. Get the park hopper and MPP. Its only $45, it would be better to have it and just use one of the options then to have it and then want to go to DisneyQuest or wherever and have to pay to get in.
Edit #2: Here's a much better chart of info on MYW tickets: http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wdw/genPage?id=MagicYourWayStarterPassesPopUp

Thanks Thrawn,

That's exactly what i wanted to hear. We're planning on hitting Pleasure Island one night and probably Typhoon Lagoon. It's ridiculous to pay admission to both separately (a cost of over $50 total) when the MPP is $45. Just wanted to make sure it didn't eat into my 7 days.

By the way, great name and icon. Ironically, WDW (by way of the Star Tours store) is where I picked up Zahn's first Star Wars novel.

Thanks again.

Except for pricing, Thrawn is correct.

Let me help to explain the options...

Base Magic Your Way Ticket - allows entry to Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney-MGM Studios, and Animal Kingdom (the theme parks), one park per day only, for each day on the ticket.

Park Hopper Option - Allows you the flexibility to visit more then one of the above major theme parks on each day and "hop" between them. The cost of this option is $35 per ticket regardless of the number of theme park days.

Magic Plus Pack Option - Adds 2 or more* separate one day one park visits to Typhoon Lagoon, Blizzard Beach, DisneyQuest, Pleasure Island, and Disney's Wide World Of Sports (the minor parks). The cost of this option is $45 per ticket regardless of the number of theme park days.

* The number of plus visits to the minor parks increases (at no additional cost) based on the number of theme park days you purchased on your base ticket.

1, 2 or 3 theme park days = 2 plus visits
4 or 5 theme park days = 3 plus visits
6 theme park days = 4 plus visits
7, 8, 9 or 10 theme park days = 5 plus visits

Premium Option - adds both the Park Hopper Option and the Magic Plus Option to your base ticket. The cost of this option is $80 per ticket regardless of the number of theme park days.

No Expiration Option - All Magic Your Way tickets and any added options you choose expire 14 days from first use of the ticket. By adding this option, any unused theme park days or plus visit days will be good forever. The cost of this option varies between $10 - $100 depending on the number of theme park days on your ticket. You can add this option anytime BEFORE you leave Walt Disney World, by bringing your ticket in person to a Guest Relations Window at any of the theme parks.

If you plan on visiting only one of the minor parks it would be less expensive to purchase a 1 day admission to that minor park on the day you visit. If you plan to visit 2 or more of any of the minor parks you would save money by adding the Magic Plus Pack, even if you don't use all of the plus visits.

1 days admission to each minor Park:
Typhoon Lagoon $34 per adult plus tax
Blizzard Beach $34 per adult plus tax
DisneyQuest $34 per adult plus tax
Pleasure Island $20.95 per adult plus tax
Wide World of Sports $10 per adult plus tax

With the Magic Plus Pack Option, your "plus visits" to the minor parks are counted completely separate from your major theme park days.

Hope this better explains the Magic Your Way system... :sohappy:

Gee that is a whole lot of typing!!!! A much easier way of looking at things though. Thanks as always JPVon Drake!!!!
If you are planning on going to Pleasure Island and even one Water Park, Disney Quest etc. it certainly makes sense to buy the Magic Plus Pack. Sorry I didnt see the PI reference previously!!! Just as a note if you go to a water park in the morning, a major park ( EPCOT, MK, AK,or MGM) In the afternoon to evening and you go to Pleasure Island at night, you will have used two of your Plus pack options and one of your major park days!!! There is no transfer or hopper feature on the Plus Pack items, just so you know!!! Have a great time!!!!!!!!!!! Belle

If I do the 5 day Premium Option and get 3 Plus Pack Options, can I go to Disney Quest the day before I go to my first major park and would it not count as a day and only as a plus pack item? What are the limitations as to using the 3 plus pack items - within 14 days?
