Honeymoon cancelled....... Now re-booked for july!!!

Just thought I would put this out there as I've had quite a few responses to thread(s) about our honeymoon being cancelled in April due to the Icelandic volcano, and also questions about what we should do next!

We have found time to get our 14 days in over July (8-22) so are going at last!

It was never going to be our ideal time to visit, but after all that happened we are just glad to be finally going!

Silly volcano - playing games with everyone's vacations. I was stranded in Belfast for an extra week when it first erupted.

Congratulations on your honeymoon. Take plenty of sunscreen - Florida in July can be brutal. Schedule in some lounging by the pool time, preferably with a cool beverage!!

Congratulations on your honeymoon. Take plenty of sunscreen - Florida in July can be brutal. Schedule in some lounging by the pool time, preferably with a cool beverage!!

Definitely take high level sunscreen, drink tons of water, and often wearing a hat while you're in the parks (to keep your head shaded) is a wise idea. After living in FL and TX, and vacationing a bit in Vegas in the summer (like holding a hair dryer to your face :lol- it's good to be really mindful of the sun/heat. Congrats and have a great trip!!! :wave:
