Honest opinions of Spirit of Aloha

2nd hand.....

Okay, so my knowledge is second hand, we've never been to the Spirit of Aloha show. It comes from my dad and his better half and their vacation with her son and his family. She said the food was "so so" but the show was enjoyable. However, they are joining us this year and said they are not interested in seeing it again. I don't think we'll ever go see it after seeing some of the reviews. For 2 dining credits I'd rather go signature.

It's important to keep in mind, that for those people who saw it a number of years ago...it was a different (and much better) show then. The current version of the luau is much less impressive than the old one.

I actually enjoyed the food quite a bit. It was significantly better than the food served at the Hoop Dee Doo.

we went with our two boys aged 15 and 13, yes it was a bit corny and the food wasn't anything special, but the atmosphere was wonderful and we had a great time, if I'm totally honest had a better time than at CRT, been there twice worst food in the world! Would recommend over CRT anytime!!!!

i'm going with my granddaughter in mid august and have many of your same concerns. she's 7 and so into the theme since we're staying at the poly. i let her pick the resort and where we eat and she's dying to see "real hula girls" so i'm s__________g it up and going. if nothing else if the show isn't great we will leave and grab a sandwich. that's how we approach it whenever we go somewhere new.

I have been a few times. Saw the original in 1974 ... AWESOME!!!

If you drink enough you will enjoy it:ROFLOL:

They need to cut out the "all you can drink beer/wine" and lower the price!
And lower the price for "adults" under 21 that can't drink:shrug:

Well I'll tell you..the last time my family went it was called Mickey's Tropical Revue" and it was so much fun with the kids, but that was like 20-22 years ago.....

They definately need to rework the show in order for me to reconsider going back. I agre.e with the previous posters. Don't waste your money

Yeah, we are not going to go to Spirit of Aloha. At the time I was asking, we were going to be staying at the Poly which prompted the inquirery. However, now we are staying at PORS. And we don't want to waste the moola either.
