Thanks! The place did look beautiful. I wasn´t "in the wedding", but I read the second reading (or lecture?). Here is a pic of me while "on stage" lol :animwink:

Here is one of the Christmas decorations in our main avenue. IT is a fountain and traffic is crazy around it at some hours of the day! lol (Not as crazy as around the Arch of Triumph in Paris, but something like that -all proportions kept, of course-

My dad was driving and I took it without flash...looks decent... I´´ll try to take another one with it and without moving!

Wow... two months after my last post here, I decided to bring this back to life again!

So here are some pictures of Chichen Itza, the Mayan Ruins in Yucatan, Mexico, where I live. Enjoy! :animwink:

This is the famous pyramid which has 91 very steep steps on each side, making -with the top part- a total of 365 steps, just like the days of the year... amazing, huh? This is where the equinox phenomenon occurs twice each year, beginning of Spring and beginning of Fall.

This building is known as "The Observatory" or "The snail" because of its shape. It was the observatory for the mayans.

The Ball Court.
The mayans were supposed to pass a rubber ball through the ring on the wall. The acoustic is perfect there. If you clap your hands once, you hear the echo 7 times. It is also said that if you stand at the building way in the back, and talk normally, a person on the other side of the court -where another building is- can hear you perfectly. I haven´t tried it because it is always packed there! :animwink:
