Sorry peeps, but you're saying it's "planters" when in fact it's "planter beds" on the first general description, which means the flower bed. Specifically, the details of the document state:

"Fabricate/install displays in the ... flower beds."

The permit states displays in the Epcot main Entrance, Tower, Tear drop, flower beds to be installed by NW Sign Co. Sounds like new directional/informative signs of some sort.

Ok, merf, you're right, but I think we all agree that it is some kind of signage and not flowers. That's all I was trying to get at.

Hmmmmm. Interesting!!! Since Disney grows it's own.....it must be signage or something IMHO:shrug:

Nope, Disney no longer owns that piece of decorative history. Unless they reproduce it, which I doubt.

They will never reproduce it exactly, but I have a feeling there are some within WDI who would like to see the return of some kind of redesigned fountain sculpture...

I really wish they kept the original fountain decor.....i was so dissapointed and heartbroken to see it up on eBay last year ( or whatever year it was...). I LOVED the concept of it....and the changing lights inside....it was the perfect foil to SSE. Now we have...well, nothing !

I would like to see something added there. Just take away those ugly eyesores ( the "Graveyard") and put some greenery back in there place...add a new fountain sculpture of some sort and ....ahhh....it will indeed be a "Big Beautiful Tomorrow" yet again!

I wonder if this entrance work could mean the return of the prism fountain infront of SSE. Someone mentioned concrete/sign installation. What could we really expect from this?

I was just looking at Magicot's avtr. and it remined me that half of the canopies at the fountain view have now been removed.

Wouldn't a smaller version of the floating globe at TDS be cool? Or the original obelisk concept.

I dunno, I think the DisneySea globe would be awkward and too much of a distraction from the real showpiece, SSE. I agree with a previous poster who said that the prisms were the perfect complement to SSE's geosphere.

Gosh, less than THREE weeks away now...... !!!

i can't imagine how much it takes to run WDW

imagine reconciling their bank accounts each month! :dazzle:

One of my professors is a former Disney animator and he says his friend who is directing an animated movie imagines all the money for the movie as monopoly money. (100 million dollar movie.. lol.)
