Apparently, the DHS parking team does not know what they are doing.

They left an entire row empty in front of where I was parked. Thankfully, it wasn't blocked off like all the other rows are.

They have coned off the exits so no cars can leave.

Is that picture of a single traffic cone it? If so, how do you know a CM put that there?

I have seen goofy teenage kids moving around traffic cones in the Disneyland parking structure, as I'm sure goofy teenage kids have done since the invention of the traffic cone. It's entirely possible that a passing guest moved that cone as a joke.

Unless you actually saw a CM place it there and warn drivers to not exit the parking lot.

Security was driving through the entire lot. They didn't pull any of the cones.

All but 1 aisle had a cone right in the middle of the row. The one that didn't didn't have any cars parked in it.

After seeing the way they were parking people, I think it was probaly them (in stupidity). Why else leave an entire row of parking empty?

Last I looked, they had roughly 400 rows left to park in. Now, I believe if those filled up, they'll use Epcot's over follow lots. Being the middle of May, pretty sure this situation was taken very seriously, and they called in more people to help park the remaining rows before heading the traffic to Epcot.

1) Could be.
2) Charlie is still on the MTA. *

* Does ANYBODY remember Charlie and the MTA?

Up here in Boston I think everyone knows about him. :)
(Or that might just be me, thanks to my Dad being a Kingston Trio fan when I was growing up.)

And even if they don't quite know who he is or his story, his spirit lives on in people's wallets... The MBTA (formerly the MTA) named their new reloadable fare cards "CharlieCards":

Being a Boston resident, we haven't forgotten Charlie. Ironically, the song was made to protest a MBTA rate hike, and when they created the "CharlieCard" a few years back, the Kingston Trio (performers of the song) helped them introduce the CharlieCard . . . . . which came with a rate hike.

I used to sing that song at the summer camp where I was a counselor.

As for the cone, maybe it was to deter no-so-smart people from trying to go in the way, but leave enough of an opening for people to get out. Just a thought.

They put the cones out because people driving into the parking lot get confused and drive into the film lot from the wrong direction. The cones help prevent that. There's a reason for everything.
