Regardless of what one things regarding the bill that started this Disney vs. DeSantis showdown, one does not have to worry yet regarding Reedy Creek.
The bill would not take effect until June 1.
If DeSantis loses in November, the Democratic opponent would naturally move to reverse that and keep the Reedy Creek Improvement District intact.
I imagine there might even be a lot of people that will vote Democrat, regardless of their personal feelings or affiliation, solely to keep Reedy Creek intact and prevent Orange and Osceola County residents paying the debt tabs.
Even if Chapek isn't front and center, Disney could easily spend a lot in donating to DeSantis' opponent and pull out the stops on this one eleection.
Then, regardless, at this point, Chapek's contract may simply expire at this point, simply because the Reedy Creek flashpoint was too much for the board.
