Pictures of fences:shrug:???

I'm still waiting for those pics of those new toilet seats:rolleyes:...

(This place is starting to creep me out, man:zipit:!!)
Sorry, pal -- that's how we roll here. Complete Disney coverage... a lot of our boardmembers are frequent, repeat visitors, so we like to note all of the changes. Do a thread search for our "trash cans of the world" thread or our "where in the world is this bathroom" thread for a real look at how detail-specific we can get.

I'm a Premium Annual Passholder, myself... I just think people need to find better hobbies for their own sanity...

Although, I still want to see pics of stall #2's new Butt-bumper 3000 Deluxe!!!:king:

Umm, the fence is important because it's part of a redesign of Epcot's entrance. Not terribly interesting to everyone, but interesting to those of us who follow Disney's design choices.

Second, the new bathrooms over in Future World West should open soon. The most interesting change thus far is that they've changed the tile in the two entrances to be red and blue to differentiate between male and female.

Finally, i just noticed i caught an interesting detail in one of my pics. The elevator for the Contemporary monorail station has been painted beige to match the new color scheme of the building. It was purple before to fit the old scheme.

I said it during Celebration 25, I'll say it again...
"Some people do crack, we go to EPCOT." :lookaroun

By the way -- my favorite restroom in all of WDW is the one across from flametree bbq in AK. All those neat tile critters. Plus the afterburner hand-dryers. Second runner up... the nice tilework in the restroom at The Seas.

Check out the bathrooms in Rafiki's Planet Watch, there's some really beautiful tile there too.

Yes, I admit I've taken photos of bathroom tilework... but then again, I also have almost 150 photos of Disney trash cans so I guess it's par for the course. Disney geek and proud of it! :D

Mousemerf - it looks like we were in some of the same places that day taking photos. :) (Yak and Yeti, CR, etc.). Actually, my last CR update was on the 5th. But I was at AK on the 7th to get pics there. :)

The shop is supposed to open the day after Thanksgiving.

Thanks for the pics, merf. What would we do without you??

More importantly, and I can't believe no one has picked up on this but you said that there is a ladder by SSE.

Could this be "the" ladder?? A la Mission space!

Glad to know the ladder is alive and well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

At least you do something productive with yours... I just hoard mine. :lookaroun

I'm glad they finally have straws at the Animal Kingdom. I can't drink cold liquid out of a cup because my teeth are really sensitive. I'd have to bring my own straws with me, which were properly disposed of when I was done using them.

I'm not crazy about the new shop going up in the Contemporary. I think it's too overpowering for the area.

Now, to solve the sloshing cup problem w/o lids.....

Eureka!! Someone should invent paper lids from the same material the new straws are made of!

Thank goodness for the straws. It's very ironic because I was wondering this back on my trip in early September "why don't they have paper straws?" Then, viola...during my October visit there they are. Maybe I should wish for a money tree for my back yard next!
:D

I'm sorry to ask such a dumb question because I know it must have been posted before but I can't find it so I'll ask anyway...

Why do they suddenly have those straws at AK? I thought they were supposed to be harmful for the animals?

And on a side note, thanks to mousermerf for the fabulous updates I enjoy them very much!

No worries... the new straws are made of a waxed paper, rather than plastic. So, in theory, quick biodegrading and much safer for the critters.

Ahh the details about straw compostion! That's what I love about this site!

Thanks for the answer!

Heheh. Ask and ye shall usually receive, no matter how obscure the question.

If you really want to have some fun, ask Martin, "hey, wasn't there a flower pot over there a few years ago?" :D
