That and Jingle Cruise and the Holiday Sorcerer's Card were left off the official press release, not to mention the specific limited availability treats and merch.

Spirit said something that's been around for 15 years isn't coming back. <shrug>

Mind you, the official press releases are notorious for their inaccuracies. In the second year of Frozen lighting up the castle, they were still saying it was the Fairy Godmother doing it. Had to email them about that.

I didn't even know about the Sorcerers card until we walked in to start the game. It was a nice surprise, but definitely don't think it was advertised anywhere.

What is Sunset Season's Greetings?
I just skimmed the three links in the OP, but I didn't see mention of it. Yet 9 people voted for it, so . . .
As per the Disney site:

"Get wrapped up in the season as snow falls, Sunset Boulevard twinkles and favorite faces come to life. Taking place from November 9 through December 31, 2017, it’s Sunset Seasons Greetings—an all-new celebration you won’t want to miss!

As 2017 draws to a close, and night falls on Disney’s Hollywood Studios, an unforgettable scene starts to unfold for Guests of all ages. Billboards suddenly begin to move into motion and tell a tale, courtesy of iconic characters sharing their love for the season. All the while, the Hollywood Tower Hotel—a.k.a. The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror—magically transforms, bringing to life the characters’ stories.

Disney character moments include:

  • Mickey and Minnie reminiscing about a hometown Christmas as the scene shifts into a romanticized, Norman Rockwell-inspired town—starting in black and white before slowly changing into color.
  • The Toy Story characters guessing which new toys are coming this Christmas as the scene becomes covered in holiday wrapping paper.
  • The Swedish Chef from The Muppets babbling as only he can while the scene turns into giant gingerbread houses.
  • And finally, Olaf pining over his holiday wish as iconic music plays and the scene freezes over into a Frozen winter wonderland—complete with dancing Aurora Borealis lights and projected falling snow.
Please note: all entertainment is subject to change without notice."

Basically, a projection show.

There *could* be new entertainment for Mexico. Disney held on September 1st, auditions for musicians with vocal abilities for a five-piece mariachi band that will run from November 22nd - January 6th.

The oddest part is that the performers need to convey the spirit and tradition of dia de los muertos (Day of the Dead). So the Epcot International Festival of The Holidays won't just cover christmas and the new years.

¿You don't think they won't have both mariachis?

I assumed the Coco one will be inside while the usual mariachis that do the Posadas for the holidays will be outside as normal.
