^I love it!

I hope they have more in store:) but I love Eeyore the most!!! I wonder if Phineas and Ferb are just for the filming or an addition to the cast this year?

Most of the features are the same as previous years, said John McClintock, a Disneyland Resort spokesman. However, a few surprises were added to A Christmas Fantasy parade.

Im hoping a new addition to the parade I forgot to add that to the post.

OC Register has a great feature on the installation of the Christmas tree including lots of great pictures and video!:sohappy: the crew must love the work lights on the parade light towers!

The massive bottom half of Disneyland’s Christmas tree slowly made its way along Main Street USA – followed by the top half. Both were carried by cranes early Tuesday morning, as the theme park finished decking itself out with annual holiday decorations.
The 13-ton, 60-foot-tall artificial tree is in its second year at the theme park; two years ago, in part to go more green, Disney quit using live trees.
More than 60,000 lights are on the new one, along with 2,000 ornaments.
“The lighting and the electrical weigh over 5,000 pounds - a real tree wouldn’t be able to accommodate that kind of weight,” said David Caranci, Manager of Resort Enhancement at the park.
Early Tuesday morning also found more than 40 workers on lifts or ladders decorating the rest of Main Street. Elsewhere, crews added a snow-and-icicle look to the castle. More than 100,000 lights were attached to the “it’s a small world” façade, and ornaments and lights sprung up in New Orleans Square, too.
As night turned to dawn, technicians were tinkering to get the tree’s programmable lighting system working. They said everything would be ready by Friday, when Disney’s holiday season officially kicks off.
From above:eek::eek::eek:
The tree weighs 13-tons

60,000 lights
2,000 ornaments
Lighting and the electrical weigh over 5,000 pounds:eek:

And it looks beautiful!

Tree looks gorgeous, floral Mickey w/ Santa hat is cute, and I love the new gazebo at the Pier. A nicely-themed addition to that area :) I wonder why they never used this location in the past - Santa's Beach Blast would have made more sense here than it did in the other location.

Looks like you got EPCOT's stuff.:fork::ROFLOL:

Seriously, though...looks awesome. The Tree interacting in the firework show is great. Reminds me of Luminaria.

I LOVE the Pooh Bear floats. So cute.

Everything else looks awesome, as usual. This is my favorite time at the resort.

And I must say, the gazebo is a much better Santa M&G than the tacky beach whatever in front of the sun.

actually that's just a castle-lighting (and tree-lighting) ceremony. I believe there's three different "acts" each night.. each has a different little story to it. It's a really neat show, complete with falling snow and beautiful music :)

And yes, Luminaria :o

What makes the DL snow shows so wonderful is the music which is "Shine" from Luminaria! so the show lives on just a little :)

Also today is the day the following all open for the season!
HolidayPreviewDetailMedia.jpg

Starting on November 13 till January 3, 2010
-Christmas decorations in Disneyland
Main Street, New Orleans Square, Critter County, Frontierland, its a small world mall and ToonTown.

-Christmas decorations in Disney's California Adventure-
Golden Gate bridge, Flicks Fun Fair, Hollywood Pictures Backlot, Grizzly Peak Recreation Area, and Golden Vine Winery and Pacific Wharf. (most are small decorations but should be noted:))

-Sleeping Beauty's Wintertime Castle Enchantment(snow on the castle, as part of the castle snow shows LED lighting on the surrounding moat trees, Hub trees, Main Street garlands and the Christmas tree) Theres a rumor out saying the Main Street buildings will get the snow treatment weather its continuing the LED lighting on the garlands or if its snow like the castle is unknown.

-A Christmas Fantasy Parade returns and takes over for Celebrate! A Street Party.

-Believe...In Holiday Magic returns heres hoping it gets some enhancements from Magical and Halloween Screams. This will also be the 4th firework show presented at Disneyland this year:eek:

-its a small world holiday returns this is also the first year with the character additions. Also look out for its a small world holiday lighting moment as well as every 15min projection shows

-Santa's Reindeer Roundup returns to Big Thunder Ranch

-Haunted Mansion Holiday continues from its Halloween Time start

-Seasonal Treats- Usually all food locations offer sometime of seasonal item but the most famous are the hand made candy canes at the Candy Palace.

the new USA room looks great.. but I will miss the transition room. Really peaceful with the ceiling decorations, soft music.. preparing you for the big finale scene. Still, the new room looks great based on those pictures :D

uh oh. was planning on going.. not so sure anymore. after the halloween and nightastic crowds.. i'm scared. :lookaroun

While I loved the transition room, it always seemed a bit "cheap?" that the room was never decorated at least this way the whole attraction is now decorated from top to bottom well even more now.

The Dapper Dans now have their Christmas costumes, they have some great costumes one for every season it seems. An overall generic one, a patriotic one, Halloween Time and Christmas as does the Disneyland Band.

I dunno.. I guess compared to the other rooms, the transition scene was a bit "cheap" looking.. but I loved it. It was sort of this calm, tranquil moment (with the faint chiming of the bells, soft music) that prepared you for the big finale scene.. it gave the last room a bigger wow.
