Sounds like a nice D ticket that unfortunately I will have to spend more money to experience if I choose to go to Universal in December.

So if you bought the package, you have access to Gringotts?

Do you have some sort of Disney made filter on your computer that rewrites words about Universal? You've tried this schtick several times now. Nobody is buying it. We can all read the "negative" reviews you've been reading.

I got to ride it yesterday, the experience, especially on the King's Cross side, is E as E gets.

They had access to the rides.

I did a round trip on the Hogwarts Express tonight. Everything about it is amazing.

Rode it 3 times, 2x from London, once from Hogsmeade.

Level of detail in the station is amazing...
A home run, no question. Hoping the rest of Diagon lives up to this standard.

But, but, but, the Associated Press said the Harry Potter expansion only has 1 ride. This D ticket attraction surely isn't noteworthy enough to earn such praise. Just like movies, video games, and other forms of entertaiment in today's society - if it's not a triple A+++ golden E-ticket tentpole franchise building IP with tremendous wide spectrum Q Score potential, it's not worth anyones time, efforts or attention.

Can't wait to sample Universal's D-Ticket and compare it to MK's D-Ticket in a couple months. Me thinks that one of them will be a real E-ticket that is being coyly marketed by a savy organization that doesn't want to steal the spotlight from the real superstar attraction in its expansion while the other one is really a solid D-ticket that is being marketed under the guise of an E-ticket because that resort doesn't really have much else to promote these days other than hastly put together "celebrations" designed to cash in on a high Q Score IP.

I don't get the complaints about needing a park to park pass to ride the HE. If you're a big Potter fan you should want one anyways, plus I think the park to park ticket is a better value anyways. On most days you could fit a lot of headliners at both parks in one day. I actually rode 20 different rides from both parks in one day once, only skipping stuff like Storm, Kang and Kodos, etc.

I had the chance to ride both directions last night. As I was taking some photographs just inside the exit side of Kings Cross Station before heading in I did see/hear some confusion from guests walking up and not understanding why they needed a park hopper just to 'ride the ride'.

This is the first time I'm aware of that you needed any sort of a park-hopper ticket just to 'ride the ride' and it's going to take some time for people to get used to the difference. I haven't looked at the park guide maps yet to see how they are explaining it but it's a very new concept that is likely to cause some confusion for a while, especially for folks who are not Theme Park ninja's following every detail of these sorts of things.

Well the park guides and maps weren't counting on it being soft opened I'm sure. When I was there in the morning they had TMs constantly yelling that you need a park hopper ticket to get on. I'm guessing Universal may need to put a big sign or something out front to let people know.
