HM's back.

I called guest relations today. They did a lookup for me, and said Haunted Mansion did reopen on the 21st.

I was there today and it was open but Fastpass was closed for this attraction probably because of the lack of crowds. The wait time said 30 minutes and the line looked quite long.

So does that mean for WDW 30 minutes is considered a "lack of crowds"? :lol: (Sorry I just couldn't resist making that comment!)

Depends, if they were only using the main walkway up to the doorway, and not any of the back and forth zig-zags, then it's not really a 30min wait. That looks very long, but takes about 15-20 mins max to get through.

15min wait at any attraction is next to nothing at WDW

At the HM you need around 15 minutes to take in the surroundings of the graveyard. That way you can look at all the different tombstones. Fun, fun!

You are right about needing to take your time to look thru the graveyard. It is amazing how many people totally miss the new animated head stone.

So the consensus is that there were no significant changes made to the HM? Has anyone noticed what, if anything, was spiffied up during the rehab?

i think they were replaceing the hydrolic lift for the streaching rooms from hydrolic ones to electric ones or visa versa, think they also were supposed to do some cleaning within the ride itself.

There did not seem to be many people their but a few rides had long lines. Peter Pan - 45 minutes, Pooh - 40 minutes but they had FP available, a lot of the rides had short waits.

Ugh, I wish I could go there when the lines were shorter! I have no problem waiting 30 minutes for HM, or 45 for Pan.

Nope it did not reopen on the 21st it opened on Sunday the 22nd..at 11am Cause I was there for Spectro on the 21st....and I checked....it was still closed.

I sure hope they fixed the wrinkles in the wallpaper in the stretching rooms. That's something that has bugged me for the longest time. At first I thought maybe they did it on purpose to illustrate the fact that although they are getting taller with the pictures stretching, the walls aren't moving but after a while, I realized that most people don't have time to think about that kind of thing in the few minutes they are in there so I'm pretty sure it just came unglued..
