oh that’s unfortunate. I loved listening to all the traditional American music with Chinese arrangements, like “Home on the Range”
I’ll still try it out next time I visit.

Upon looking at the photos it still very much a mix of Victorian and Chinese decor, just more subtle than before. I wonder if the music changed then.

Plaza is still a beautiful restaurant though. I loved my visit to HKDL. Not sure when I will get back, but it was a lovely park that left a very positive impression. While HKDL is NOT perfect it definitely has a lot of charm and attraction variety I think SDL is sorely lacking.

Oh, I know. I've been to HKDL many times and I've loved it since it first opened. I found SHDL to be impressive and very different, but I found no need to compare it to HKDL, they're two different animals.
HKDL is the most relaxing Magic Kingdom park experience in the world

I love the new colours of the castle walls in Fantasyland. It makes the land much more vibrant and happy. Now give us some proper dark rides! XD

it would be Great if the park had more unique dark rides to help it stand out - how about an aladdin dark ride instead of pan or something like sleeping beauty or Cinderella in place of snow white?

I think HKDL deserves a full built out Neverland like TDS’s Fantasy Springs PP section. Between the Fantasyland theatre and Avengers ride. With a massive state of the art Peter Pan ride to make up for not having it for so long. A land with a volcano, pirate ship, tinkerbell and Pan ride.
And put a Tangled boatride in Clopins restaurant space.

Agreed. Princess and the Frog would be amazing! Or weren't they planning one for Cinderella for WDW?

Finally visited the park today after months of suspension
Idk why but I feel like the park is so much more detailed after the closure
Castle of Magical Dreams certainly looks better in person than in the pics
And the new merchandise related to it are SO pretty
Looking forward to its completion in September!

Finally the LegCo panel was held on Jun 22. Here's the link:
You can jump to the HKDL update part by clicking the agenda icon and select English in bottom right corner of the video player if you wish to watch the meeeting.
Key things:
- 4% drop in attendance (6.7m in FY18 to 6.5m in FY19)
- Guest mix: HK 41%, China 33%, Overseas 26%
- Double digits growth in Japanese (+40%), Thai and South Korean markets
- Hotel occupancy rate 74%
- Hotel business doing great despite travel restrictions during the pandemic
- Castle will open later this year with a nighttime spectacular to celebrate the 15th anniversary
