“International parks and experiences operating income declined 23% in Q2 compared to the prior-year quarter driven by lower results at Shanghai and Hong Kong reflecting the softness we are continuing to see in China”

That’s quite worrying…
Will the park turn to loss again after just one year of profit?

I don't think it would be too shocking they couldn't maintain the growth they got from the opening of Zootopia and Frozen in Shanghai and Hong Kong respectively.

Don't confuse less profit with net loss.

That is operating income though

HK doesn’t have much of a cushion for lower operating income nor does it want to “stabilise” at like 0 profit or loss
That’s why they rlly shd consider building Downtown Disney alongside Park Promenade. Rents can be another source of income for them too.

As someone else said they are up against tough comparisons with the opening of Frozen and I also expect some guests will be delaying trips until the anniversary starts?
