I wonder what the earliest possible opening date could be at this stage during construction. Late summer 2021?

Great find! It would be neat if we can see some water jet system to install at the bottom of the fjord for possible future show!

Not 100% sure but I guess no
From what's been mentioned in the Castle Making Of Exhibition, those "hemispheres" were made of fibreglass(?) and they seemed to be solid... don't think they got light bulbs inside
Thought so too at first, but this one here and the ones on top of the large middle windows does light up. Maybe they haven't gotten it to work yet? I also noticed the window in Ariel's turret doesn't light up yet.

The progress seems quite slow to me
They still need to build 2 artificial mountains - one above the FEA show building and one around the coaster(?)
So I doubt if they really can manage to finish the land by 2021
Also, the plot of land for the Avengers ride is still empty
Does anyone know whether the plan is postponed or whatsoever?

No
Did we ever get an explanation (in the exhibition or otherwise) the reasoning behind the castle's eclectic architecture, beyond the initial plan to transform SBC to the Corona Castle from Tangled? You can't exactly pin down what is the dominating style in CMD since you have Romanesque Revival in the original SBC, Gothic (?) in the new castle keep, and Islamic in the new tower.

its strange to me that there are 3 frozen lands being built right now and none are in USA. I guess we get the frozen stuff at epcot, but damn with hong kong getting froze, paris getting frozen, japan getting massive fantasy land/springs upgrades, how come we get the short end of the fantasy land stick?

They wanted to do something cheap and fast for Florida...and it still cost a lot and took almost 2 years to construct.

It's a decision that's aged badly in hindsight. WDW could have gotten a much better Frozen addition and in a more appropriate park.

You get Frozen at Epcot and DHS (sing-along) and MK (parades, HEA).

WDW likes to put their most popular IPs in more than one park. No matter which park you go to, you can get your Frozen, or Toy Story, or Mermaid, or BatB, or Aladdin fix. Even with a Toy Story Land in DHS, you have a Buzz ride in MK.

Any other Disney resort has just one or two parks, and it makes more sense for them to gather multiple franchise-based attractions together in a land or mini-land.

Castle wall turrets in fantasyland have indeed been painted and finished. Also, path, tunnel and bridge to Frozen land seems about done. Not much progress on Frozen land in general. But I heard rumours of it being postponed to 2022 anyways.

Also, looks like the fantasyland theatre is getting an outside refurb or repaint.

Park could reopen as soon as February 18th if corona cases stay down.

It will be interesting to see what the viewing area looks like in person. From this picture it screams "SHANGHAI LITE" and out of scale more than the castle does.
