Against all fashion sensibilities I wear a bumbag to the parks. It is just too useful. Map Storage. Sunglasses Protection. Keeps your wallet away from pick-pocketers. Attach a camera or hat to the strap. Also hides well under a T-Shirt.

I put my sunglasses in a pocket on my shorts before I went on Kraken. After I came off they were in at least 5 pieces

bumbag? But does it hold cameras?

I'm sorry but I always laugh at my mom if she wears one somewhere...so she is not allowed to wear one to Disney...haha...I'm such a nice daughter

However, the last 5 trips I have gone by myself (well cheerleading, senior trip, friends, etc) and have worn a small pull string backpack. These work really well putting all your things in and also stuffing a sweatshirt in there if you have to. Also I became backpack lady...everybody but their stuff in my backpack...ughhhh and nobody offered to hold it! But anyways backpacks work for me!

Are you sure it's because you say ?

The one cool thing about being older...you don't care if you look geeky.

Basically you give up.

...not so sure that's cool!

I carry a small backpack with me for sunblock, maps, water bottle, camera and whatever else i might want to take (i packed my handheld gps there to track my tracks through the park once, worked out nicely). I can't get onboard with the pack, however - they may be functional, but I can't get over the looks.

The only place I would ever think about wearing a hip-pack is when on vacation to Disneyworld.

My wife laughed at me  when I bought it but then again, she hasn't had to be the pack-mule with the camera bag slung over the shoulder and the back-pack on the back. :hammer:

She says she won't wear it but I think after sweating her bum off wearing a back-pack might make her think differently!!:p

We use a backpack it works out great but can get a tad hot on the back. We just switch off periodically. We also use a stroller yes no one likes them but hey if you have a 2 year old you can't carry them all day. otherwise :dazzle:

It's not the strollers...it's SOME of the people who push them...

so unaware of the people around them...

and yes...I guess carrying the 2 year old gets tiresome...

use duct-tape!

I learned my lesson with the straw hats, they tend to shrink in intesne FL heat. I have switched over to a fabric full brimmed jungle (not safari) hat with a chin-strap!

Nothing better than looking like I am a dork that came from the jungle with a hip-pack!:zipit:

If you are concerned about the size of the pack on a ride push the pack to your side and the bar will not get in the way.

Good luck and have a magical time!

A checkbook? Never saw anyone use a check at the parks
