Trip Report Hilton Head Island, minimal Mickey, maximum fun.

I mentioned our December trip to Hilton Head Island in my previous trip report but have just not gotten around to posting about it yet, so here goes.
This will be mostly photos without a lot of commentary, but I will say Disney's Hilton Head Island is beautiful and a nice change of pace from the theme parks. We loved everything about it except the cold temps that hit in mid-December. Still we had a great time.
I promised @figmentfan423 and @ginadee I would tag you, so here you go. Hope you enjoy the pics. I will be happy to answer anyone's questions about the HHI trip if you have any.

I'll start with my favorite photo taken during our visit to the Disney HHI resort:

Since there were several hammocks scattered about the resort area, I felt it my duty to try them all out. I can report all were equally relaxing, though some did have slightly better views than others.

Ivory Tower Squabble EST 2011. WINDMILL SURVIVOR
Yeah, it was chilly. We only used the pool once the whole time we were there. Did brave the hot tub several times, but getting back to the room at night, in the cool December wind, was interesting.

Yeah but great memories. Can't tell you how many times in Aspen I went into the outdoor hot tub and then squishing back to our condo in the snow. Nothing like winter hot tubs!

Yeah, we did the same thing a couple of years ago in Breckenridge. It snowed like a fool a good part of the time we were there yet we still enjoyed the hot tub. While sitting in the hot tub one evening a couple of kids were playing in the heated pool. They then hopped out and plopped down right in a couple of lounge chairs by the pool. Nothing unusual about that except the lounge chairs were covered with about eight inches of fresh snow. They just laughed then jumped right back in the pool. My wife dared me, but since it was not a double dare, I passed.

While its blurry still thought I would share this pic. On the uppermost left limb is perched a bald eagle. We saw several, including a nesting pair that circled over us one day. So majestic.
