Price point doesn't seem terrible, (not immediately recognizable as a cash grab) considering you're going to all "deluxe resorts" and it doesn't seem like you're getting bottom of the barrel food and drink offerings. Other than the fact that they're putting a lot of faith in reliability and on-time performance of the WDW monorail systems, this seems like a nice offering. Well Done TDO......?

Wonder what private patio at the contemporary will be used for this viewing of wishes.

Fourth floor patio..

I might have to see if I can find time for this. It sounds like it would be a hoot. And not tooooo pricey all told. Five course, plus booze, for $150 gratuity Inc? That's actually reasonable.

Where's the catch?

This is still a cash grab.

One that's value seems inline with the price. This is something I would easily consider doing this spring if I wasn't saving for an April "Rum Cruise".

If it's offering an interesting product that's not excessively priced compared to it's constituent parts, then although it meets the technical definition of a cash grab (a product designed to maximise profits) I'd not be inclined to be too negative about it.

At least it's not eating in those godawful gazebos.

Cash grabs done right make everyone happy. It's not that hard to get right.

1. A unique experience worth the price.

2. Doesn't impact regular paying guests.

This actually looks pretty great to me. I wonder if there is an age limit?
I was wondering the same thing. But by the nature of the offering, it seems "drinking age" would be necessary to make it worth it.

The only person that I have around to do this with is my 16 y.o. daughter. And $150 for dinner for her seems a bit pricey. But maybe I'll just get a room at the contemporary and drink her portions too.

We're in The Bubble end of April, and it's not allowing reservations beyond end of March.. Hopefully it's not a limited time thing, or I shall be... annoyed.

Might make a quick call to the Mouseline and see what is what.

EDIT: Oh god the hold music is making me want to end it all already.

FURTHER EDIT: Panic averted, we're back to music from Indiana*, all is well.
*Jones, not the state.

My wife and I will be at WDW over Valentine's day and this year it's on a Tuesday. We were going to have dinner at California Grill which would have easily been $200 with appetizers, dinner, drinks, and dessert. This is basically an extra $100 on top of that for us, so I bit and booked it for Valentine's Day. If the reviews come in and it's bad, I'll cancel it but I wanted to go ahead and get this on the books. I'm hoping it will be a surprise for her and she doesn't go snooping around in my MDE account!

I just made reservations for my family which includes my wife and 11 and 8 year old son and daughter. There is no age reservation. Cost wise, it won't be worth it, but experience wise, this is the night before my daughter's birthday and it seems like a pretty cool and unique experience. I'm also thinking that my wife and I should be able to enjoy the drinks the kids should have gotten. Either way I think we'll have a great time.

Okay, having just spoken to Guest Services, it's only being run temporarily, I guess as a trial, up until the end of March 2017.

Presumably if it does well, they'll extend it.

So from a personal perspective, for the love of the gods people, get out there and book it so they extend it into April.. Ta.

It does seem unique enough, that if your kids like dressing up a little and having a good meal, then they will really enjoy this. I mean, you ride the 'rails between courses and there are fireworks.
