High School Musical Started Yesterday at MGM

I caught the last half of it yesterday. It was good to see that it has been re-vamped to more closely mimic the West Coast version. It's a really enjoyable show, and the crowd really seemed into it (or at least I was... :lookaroun ). It fits extremely well there... now all they need to do is get rid of Beauty and the Beast for a revised version of On The Record and the park will be set entertainment wise...
Eh Hem! Beauty and the Beast stays and that is final.:fork: Muahaha!!

I'm really excited about the renewed commitment to live entertainment. It's a great time for those of us that enjoy the shows. I'm 32 and can't wait to see it. :lookaroun
Or the pirate tutorial...
Dream Along with Mickey...
Finding Nemo the Musical...

Why bring On The Record?!?!?! It failed as a show and ticket sales, or lack there of, was proof. No reason at all that needs to be brought to WDW.

I think that On The Record, which is all-inclusive music wise, would fit nicely in the theatre because it is based on the idea of recording a CD. Directly across from it is Rockin' Rollercoaster, a recording studio itself.

Of any of the Disney On Broadway venues, On The Record would be the best choice. Also, Beauty and the Beast is an aging entity, 16 years old, and with the recent announcement of the closing on Broadway, I could see them closing the WDW "Live" attraction as well. I used to enjoy the show, but of recent the oversized animated character costumes seem strange as costuming has really changed in the last ten years. Update the theatre to be indoors, theme it as another recording studio, and put in On The Record. It seems as simple as putting High School Musical at MGM.

I think On the Record failed because it has no plot, but would work splendidly in the Studios because it could easily be made into a shorter show that families could go to and not have to worry about the story. Plus, it refreshes a park which always needs "plusing" especially since its once focused theming has diverted.

Just some thoughts on that subject, but to stay on subject, I am glad HSM is in the Studios and finally gets the same respect as CA.

On the Record is one of my favorite CD... BUT...

I believe that a lot of families go to the parks because of the story.

But i could be wrong.

I love how you can see two Dream Squad CM's hanging out watching the show

It is their responsibility to do crowd control for this specific show since it is a parade float. They have to clear the route and make sure no dumb guests cross the tape on the ground. Fantasmic CMs help them out after the parade show but Dream Squad kids are the ones doing it for the rest of the day.
