Hhn 2008

Sometimes they are. The big three were the same last year. But a) Orlando has more room, so they can get more houses, and b) sometimes, each park creates something different, which is why there is going to be a difference between Orlando and Hollywood this year.

Only thing I am familiar with is Orlando. Besides the Bate's Motel, War of the Worlds set (is that still there), and the tram, on top of CHUCKY!, don't know much of what goes on with Hollywood.

Good to know. Thanks for the info.

This year looks like it should be much better than last year was. The houses were very detailed and cool looking, but I thought the event was lacking in everything else (especially the scarezones). This year should be amazing.

Yeah I understand there's always differences like the terror tram as USH, but I always thought the houses were the same?

Nope. Prior to last year, the two events rarely had anything in common. They're going back to doing things that way. The only thing they share this year is Bill & Ted.

By the way, make sure your speakers are up when you watch the commercial. :ROFLOL:

I have never been to HHN we have tickets for October 19th. Is there anyone else that is going or has gone. Everyday something else is added to the web site about the event I can't wait. I was there in 2001 but did not have tickets to the event so we left the park at 5pm I think. Is the express pass worth it for this event. I am debating between that and MNSSHP. :lookaroun I have to extra cash but for one or the other but not both there are three of us going my mother, Sister-n-law and myself. Thanks!

First of all let me say you are going to have a great time! This will be our 4th trip to HHN and it seems to get better every year. In regards to the fast pass, if you are doing the Stay & Scream, you should be able to get all the houses in as long as you save the shows for last. You can't miss the Bill & Ted Show. The longest wait we experienced last year was 75 minutes, granted this was on a Thursday but still after we saw our last house, the waits for the others were crazy, some over 120 minutes! The one time we did express pass, we found out we didn't really need them. It was nice to go into some of our favorite house again though, so it was not a waste of money by any means.
My wife and I get excited with the web site updates as well. We were without a computer for over a month. We were pleasantly surprised when we saw all the updates. I think you picked a perfect year to be your first visit. Have a great time! If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

This year's HHN Web site has been absolutely freakin' amazing! I'm so excited for the event and so sorry for the folks in Hollywood. I really think they're getting a raw deal this year, but time will tell.

The first year my friend and I went to HHN, we didn't use Express or anything. Mistake. The crowds are so heavy (at least on nights I was there) and there were soooo many annoying drunks that the event was impossible to fully enjoy. Since that time, we've done the RIP tour. It's great if you can drop the cash and beats the Express for convenience.

Have fun!

Eight houses and six scarezones this year! I don't remember that many scarezones! :sohappy:

 Is that you Metro W???????? Think I may recognise the sig :D

To the OP, you will love HHN. Had our first experience last year and it was amazing. But I think this years is going to be a thousand times better if that`s possible.
The scares you get are fab but soooooooo much fun. We are doing stay and scream and going to try and see as many houses as possible without the EP as we have already spent too bloomin much money and DH is beginning to grumble
But even if you don`t see all the houses the atmosphere is amazing and Bill and Ted`s show is the funniest thing ever.
One of our best nights in Orlando and can`t wait for opening night. Would love to do more nights but so much to do and only 14 nights in a year to do it. Hope you enjoy it, oh forgot to add we never saw any drunken or loutish behaviour at all, and we were there opening night till the end of the night. Just loads of people having fun. Oh and the jello shot girls, well DH and DS loved them. Think it`s blood bags this year to drink. Enjoy :D:D

Just a correction, last year they shared the same overall theme, but the only aspect of the event that was the same, other than name and advertising, was the Bill & Ted show, and even that had its differences. The houses were all completely different, while they were based on the same characters, had completely different layouts, scenes and stories.

You can look at USH as being a completely different event, only sharing the name with the sister park in Orlando.

Well, that depends on when you go and if you like standing in long lines. :) It's not unheard of for some houses to have line wait times of two hours or so on busy nights.

In my first year, I went without any kind of pass. That, coupled with Hurricane Wilma, made for a long night coping with long lines and - even worse - too many drunken idiots. I've done the RIP tour, which is pricey but well worth it to me, from that year on.

Good luck and have fun!
