Hey! Keep It Down! I'm Trying To Sleep (in a Value or Mod resort)!

Hey all...
So based on the possibility that we might arrive a day early for our DVC reservation at BLT, and we need a room for the night, and to save money but still get luggage transfer to BLT it'll be at a Value or Mod instead of offsite (but probably not Port Orleans French Quarter as it's close to sold out so "discount prices" are 45 dollars more than any other moderate standard room)...

Based on all that...

What would you consider to be the quietest sections of each Value or Mod resort?

I'd assume the locations farthest from the main building (and for one night, we don't mind this, we'll have driven the entire night before and arriving at WDW between 11am and 3pm and we will want to crash, hoping a room will be available and available for an early check-in). But hey, we all know what happens when we assume; maybe those are the sections they set aside for hard core tour groups acting all silly in the hopes they'll bother fewer other guests.

I'm all ears. So to speak. Since we're reading and writing.

Slappy, your posts tend to crack me up. This one is no different. So, as I understand it, you are asking for the cheapest AND quietest corner of the resorts. People usually want one or the other, but not both. Anyway, I think HM has room for one more. It should be fairly quiet after park hours. In all seriousness, I would stay way from any All-Star solely based on family (not my own) experience. There should be some corner of Pop or AoA that fits the criteria you are looking for. Not sure about the others. Good luck and maybe let us know how things work out.

Coronado. It is spread out. There are lots of ground floor rooms. Great parking available. I have not had an issue with guest noise there before. Tour groups are placed nearer to the main building as that is where the conference center is. Rancharos (sp?) section is farthest away. It is like a desert out there!

The biggest noise problem in my experience is people checking out at 5 in the morning who roll suitcases past your room while talking loudly. If you're in the furthest building out that's not likely to happen.

My vote is add another day onto your park tickets, go to MK and continually ride CoP. I can usually get a good sleep in this ride and it won't be any louder than any of the All Stars, plus probably cheaper. ;)

We've found that Coronado is pretty quiet. Probably less kids when at other mods or values. You can still hear what's going on out your door (curse of being at a hotel where when you walk out your door it is the actual outdoors) but nothing that's been so disturbing that it keeps you awake or annoyed.

Riverside was quiet and we have stayed close to the main building and have also stayed furthest away from it. We never experienced any noise, which is another reason why I love that the main pool there is on its own "island" and pretty well secluded from the rooms. I think with the moderates being so spread out, that would be your best bet, they never seem busy like the value resorts and are always quiet and peaceful.
