So I know this isn't neccesarily "Parks News" but I really didn't know where else to put it.

As of today at 10a.m. the Hess station by Magic Kingdom reopened! The station has 24 pumps (including diesel), a free air pump and 4,000 square feet of retail space. Fresh made-to-order pizzas, sub sandwiches and other standard items will be available in the convenience store.

Yey!

I noticed that it was finally open on my way back from work and immediately stopped in to fill up as I was planning to tonight, anyway. It was nice to not have to go to Boardwalk or Downtown Disney as they are not on my way back from the TTC. The design really is very nice at the new station and the whole area is bright and cheery.

Ooooooo free air pump. Now all i have to worry about is that one guest who wants to take his SUV across 3 lanes of traffic to get into the station....

I hate to be the one who breaks it to ya Marni...But it no longer looks anything like it did.

I feel your pain for the loss of that retro Disney style.
Yeah... I know. It`s been extended and refurbed countless times. I was comparing aerial shots of it & the T&TC last night. You can still make out the original architecture of the service center from above.

It's a GAS STATION !!!

Yes it is, but not all gas stations have a mural of Florida painted on the side of the convenience store building. I have never seen a mural of New Jersey at any gas stations up here, not that a mural of New Jersey would be fascinating:D

I saw them working on it when I was there last month and was surprised at how quickly they got the mural on one side of the building up. In the morning, it wasn't there, but when we left the MK, the whole side was covered. I'd love to see what it looks like now, but also what it looked previously (the T&TC design). Marni, (or anyone else, for that matter) got any pics of that? Just curious...

Thanks in advance!
