They have other attractions in the Lancaster area that are worth seeing such as the Strasburg Railroad, The Railroad Museum of PA, Choo-Choo Barn, Toy Train Museum, Sight & Sound Theatre and the American Music Theatre just to name a few. Indian Echo Caverns near Hershey is another one.

I like Hershey. I don't go there as often as when I was little but I do like going over Christmas to Candy Cane Lane (or whatever it's called). They do a great job with all the Christmas lights. The waterpark is a nice touch although I never actually used it, just saw it while riding their rides instead. My kids take field trips through the school to Zoo America and Chocolate World. We only live an hour away so I always try to chaperone that one. We always made a trip there in February too after my daughter's gymnastics meet in Hershey. They have a Hug & Kiss meet through Hershey Ariels and we always told my daughter that any score above a 9 earned her a piece of chocolate lol. I love Hershey but it's certainly no Disney.

Do you guys think you may hit the park this year? If so, maybe we can try to meet-up!

We had an excellent park visit this morning. Love visiting in May - got in at opening and after getting DD09 measured (1/4 inch short of Twizzler, she is very upset by this), we did Wave Swinger, Looper, Flying Falcons, Sidewinder, Wildcat, Lightening Racers, Pirate, Bumper Cars, Reece's Challenge, and talked with some of my students who were in the park for a bit. And we were out by 12:15pm. That's quite a bit for just over 2 hours of park time. Then, off to lunch at the Lancaster Brewing Company restaurant in Harrisburg - first visit, and it is a winner!

We expect to head back up next Sunday for mother's day with a similar plan, depending on what my wife's choice for lunch is!

Sounds good, but do they have anything dealing with trains?

So who here may be planning on a trip to Hershey in the following weeks? So far for me, 5/25 and 6/8 are confirmed dates that I will be there. Might also hit it up 7/6 as well as squeeze in a trip or two in between there. If you're planning on being there on any of those given dates, feel free to let me know below. Would like to connect up with some fellow WDW Magic members at the park this summer!

Who's going to be heading out to the park this weekend? I plan to be there hanging out with some friends on Saturday if anyone wants to meet up.
